My brakes were grinding so a friend told me to go to the Precision Tune on Pacific Park Dr. I was greeted nicely by a professional looking service manager who took my information and test drove the car. They inspected the car and told me about the problems. I discussed with the manager what was necessary to get the brakes in good condition again. While he didn't lower the prices too much, he did lower them a little from the original estimate and even gave me a free oil change which my car needed. I asked if I could be taken home and he had one of his employees drive me home so I wouldn't have to wait. The car was done on time and there wasn't any extra charges. The manager explained everything in detail and after paying for the work, he walked me outside and even opened the door of my car for me. I was thanked and told to come back for a free recheck if I ever had a question or concern about my brakes in the future. I plan on having this Precision Tune do more of my car repairs and I would definitley recommend them to my family and friends. Pros: Nice staff, work done on time and for the right amount. more

Horrible Management 7/13/2007

After having 2 flat tires in two weeks I went to Precision Auto Tune to replace my tire. Come to find out, I needed to replace two tires. $200 later, I had 2 brand new tires. Well, I was not so pleased that I had to replace that many tires in a period of 2 weeks so the manager there assured me that he would contact corporate and see what he could do for me. I was pleased to know that he was going to help me further. Considering my car was barely a year old, i wanted something to be done. Well, 2 months later here I am with no call back from the manager letting me know whats going on. I have been the one to call him all this time and just the other day he told me that they were going to take care of it. Well, low and behold i followed up with him again and come to find out he is no longer with the company. So basically, there management skills are horrible! The best part is that the new manager is only there one day a week so good luck to anyone who has an issue with this place. The management team is worthless. The service took longer than expected, when i was there. He told me 20 mins. and i was there for almost an hour. I do not recommend this place to anyone! Not the greatest management staff!! Dishonest, unreliable service. 3/1/2007

Waited over 3 1/2hours for an oil change. While waiting outside, I happened to witness one of their mechanics backing out my vehicle from the parking space and colliding with another vehicle. He paused to see if there were any witnesses, then proceeded to drive my vehicle into the service bay to conduct the oil change without acknowledging the damage. I immeditaely notified the manager who saw the noticeable 6"" scrape on the side of my new car. \r \r At first, the manager told me to buy paint and paint over it. Then he offered a free car wash. After telling him to fix the damage, he offered a discounted brake service. The manager told me all the other vehicle involved belonged to an employee next door. Later I saw a 17 year old get into that vehicle. He told me the vehicle belonged to him and that he is a customer of a nearby business. \r \r Later, I called the owner and per his advice, I sent him the cheapest estimate I could find. He told me that he sent it to their corporate office and that I should hear back from them w/in the week. \r \r It's been over 2 months now. I've just been given the run-around. Called Precision's corporate office in Virginia and they told me these claims are handled in California, and that they couldn't even give me any contact information as this is confidential. I filed a report with the Better Business online and will also be filing with the California Department of Consumer Affairs: Bureau of Automotive Repair. I doubt Precision will agree to any mediation though. \r \r Updated 03/08/07 the Better Business stated the reply Precision Tune gave was ""No one seen or heard it. The truck that we supposedly hitt did not have a scratch on it. The mechanic said he did not hitt anything, I will not pay for anything."" I do have a witness and his truck did have scratches on it - he is willing to attest to that fact. I cannot believe how dishonest this company is! I'm driving around with very noticeable damage to my new car! Pros: Clean facility Cons: Very dishonest, unreliable service. more
