I LOVE CUSTOMERS. come eat at ""Paces Dairy ann"" its worth coming in. It has great history. more

Younger generation Pace ruining Icon 10/10/2008

I have to agree with the people who went here and also noticed how much the quality has dropped. Whoever was able to talk to the ""owner"" Todd obviously must know him because he is no where to be seen whenever I have been there. The place is a filthy mess, which shows how little respect the owner and employees there have for the customer. It seems to have started to go down hill when the rest of the family left, I recently found out that they opened up in Layton. Which I will be going to try out. Its sad to see how an Icon in Davis County is being abused and taken advantage of by the youner generation of Pace. The prices are high and the wait is long as previously stated. Heres to hopefully the bountiful pace's going under new ownership and withit a return to its glory days. Pros: Fourtuntely the Rainbow is something they can't mess up Cons: Too many to list more

Best Quality in the fast food world 6/24/2008

I recently went to Paces Dairy Ann in Bountiful and was very taken back by the taste and quality of the food it tasted just like it did 25 years ago when I went there as a teenager!! I asked the owner Todd Pace how could he keep things the same all these years? Todd told me that he will not change or cheapen the quality of the food, things have gone up alot as far as food costs and all operating costs as well, but he said he would rather go out of business than cut the quality. Ive tried most everything on the menu and can recommend almost everything. The Country Boy with cheese, Onion Rings Shakes Rainbows and Tacos are some of my favorites,The place is clean and nostalgic and has that great home town feel. The service always seems to do there best.Paces has been open since 1957!! If you want good food come to Bountiful. Pros: Its all Good Cons: cant think of any more

Great overall experience 3/31/2008

I've been eating at ""Pace's"" for my whole life--ever since I was a kid. My grandma and grandpa used to take me to get an astro bar when they would baby sit me and I've been going ever since. It's really a special place for me. The food is high quality, the workers do their best and the atmosphere is nostalgic. It's nice to know that there's still a place in town where you can go and eat food that wasn't cooked an hour before you actually ordered it. I always have a good experience. The employees have always done their best to work quickly and strike up a conversation--as long as it's not too busy of course. My favorite treat is the rainbow--especially the lime and peach flavors. I think the place has been around for about 50 years! They must be doing something right. I would recommend Pace's to anyone who wants a break from the automated fast food industry and wants to see how things were done back in the good old days--the right way. Pros: High quality food, Great deserts, Workers speak English, Small family business Cons: Must wait for food to be cooked, closed sunday more

It ain't the same as it used to be. 3/9/2008

Pace's is a Bountiful icon. It has been around since the '50's, but unfortunately, the service and food is not at the same high standards it once was. It is sad that the management (apparently not the original) has allowed the quality of the food and service (especially) to go downhill. The past three times I've eaten at Pace's, our food was either cold (too long of a wait) or our order was wrong. Also, there were five tables that needed cleaning, and we had to ask for someone to come out and clean one off. After waiting nearly five minutes, we finally did it ourselves. The people behind the counter seem very indifferent as to who is next or whether you are there or not. They act like they can't wait for you to just go away. Overall, the food isn't as good as it once was. The french fries are generally cold and dried-out. The hamburger meat tastes old. The jet bars and the other ice cream treats are still pretty good, however. Maybe this is the only thing that keeps Pace's going, because the quality of the rest of the food is nowhere near what it used to be, which is really too bad. I prefer the Pace's Drive In in Layton, which I understand is separately-owned from the Bountiful Pace's. This may explain the difference in quality, service and cleanliness. Pros: Fun decor. Great ice cream and frozen products. Ample parking. Cons: Unsatisfactory service. Not as clean as in the past. Food quality is below past standards. more

Look like a local with this... 7/19/2004

Guys: Get a Country Boy with cheese; Double CB if you are 15-19 Girls and less hungry guys: get a Chicken Basket. 3 really big strips of chicken breast and fries. The regular hamburgers are good, too. Get a deluxe burger if you like lettuce and onion. Dont miss the onion rings, they are fantastic. The fries are standard, shoelace type, and are the same as everywhere else. Kids: Grilled Cheese, Hamburger or a FootLong (hotdog). To drink: Coke. They change the syrup ratio (or something) and it is great! Not the same Coke you get everywhere else. Kids drink: blackcherry punch or a freshlime sprite. Desert: Coke Freeze. It's a medium cup full of ice cream with a shot of Coke, and then blended into a shake like consistency. Or get a (peach, lime, cherry, grape) Rainbow, its like a slurpee with vanilla ice cream on top. Pros: High Quality, Patio w/ grass 4 kids, Unique Coke Cons: , limited seating more

Good but Slow and Small 7/15/2002

My experience did not live up to the raves I had been hearing. The service was slow and the shakes were very small for the price. Food was good but we must have gotten the basket end of the fries because they weren't good. more
