Agree with the KidScore editorial. PF Changs is a good kid friendly chain option. The bring out crayons, chopsticks, cup with lid,...

Need educated waiters 8/20/2003

My husband and I ate here for lunch. I ordered a vegetarian dish; he ordered a beef dish. Neither of us finished our meals, so we asked they be wrapped up. (We like to eat leftovers for lunch at work the next day.) The waiter, for whatever reason, decided to COMBINE our leftovers into one container. When we got home, even though we had 2 containers (though one was for each of us), one was full of rice, while the other was a combination of his beef dish and my vegetarian dish. As a non-beef eater (it will actually make me ill if I eat it), I was appalled that our meals were mashed together. Waiters who have ANY clue about customer service wouldn't have done this. What if we were just business associates and not husband/wife? What made him think it was acceptable to combine our 2 meals together???? Pros: large menu, easy access, tasty food Cons: low value more

Don't Waste Your Money & Time! 4/28/2003

Long lines do not mean good food! Food: Spring Rolls - Dripping with oil as you bite into them. Mango Chicken - Some of the chicken was undercooked and the dish was doused with a bland glaze sauce. Curried Vegetables: Best of the 3 dishes but it really was just OK. We had about 3 bites of the entrees and were ready to leave. The waitress called in her manager after we politely asked for the bill. The manager was very nice, and listened to our feedback. Others have complained about the oily spring rolls. Also stated that since it was our first time, she would have ordered other dishes (which she circled on the take out menu she brought to our discussion). Gave us some free appetizer coupons to encourage us to give them another try. Thanks, but no thanks. Pros: Nice decor Cons: Food Quality, Bland Taste, Long Lines more

Tricking the ""Gui Los"" 4/10/2003

If I was living in a trailer, and the only thing i knew about Chinese food was Safeway's Chinese to Go stuff then this place would be gourmet. Its not as bad as other places that have the #1 with Almond Chicken, Egg Rolls and Fried Rice but damn it comes pretty close. Don't waste your MONEY!! more

Chinese with an American Twist 1/22/2003

P.F. Chang's is my very favorite restaurant! Light and delicious, not heavy like regular Chinese food. Incredible orange chicken and pan fried noodles. Love the ""special sauce"" made right at the table. Long wait is the only deterant. Cons: LONG WAIT more

Not my cup of Tea 1/15/2003

This is an insult to Chinese food and real Chinese restaurants around the Puget Sound area. The food is prepared just like any other Chinese Restaurant in this world it just has a good wait staff and has caught the trendy people of Bellevues attention. Granted the interior design is comfortable but it goes to show money spent elsewhere and not on the food is going to give you horrible food and a nice chair. I suggest going to a cheaper Chinese Restaurant and finding a dirty chair with great food. Pros: Good location, Fast, Drinks are good Cons: Food is so so, Long Wait, Not so Clean more

You must be kidding! 12/24/2002

The lettuce wraps are great but the rest of the food is well below the quality victuals that you can get in almost every Chinese restaurant in the Interanational District. The service was poor as well. Chang's is a great concept but the execution is terrible. It's too busy and showy and the food isn't good enough to call Cahang's ""romantic."" more

Typical Mall Food 11/26/2002

Okay - it's a mall restuarant so bewarned if you are looking for the real deal. That said, it's not too bad after a morning of shopping to stop in and have lunch. The wonton soup is bland but the bowl is enough to serve 2 hungry/4 starters and the condiments on the table bring flavor to the broth. The lettuce wraps are okay and the fried spring rolls are better than most. My favorite is the garlic spinach, a meal in itself and as fresh and spicy as it's name. Prices are resonable and portions are decent for a lunch - dinner is another matter. Don't rush over to eat there but if you are at the square and need a nosh, try it. Pros: Decent Portions, Good garlic spinach more

Not Authentic-But I Don't Care 11/19/2002

We usually stay away from ""corporate"" restaurants. However, we find ourselves continually going back to this one. for better or worse, the food is always the same. consistency is important. we really don't care that the food is ""not authentic"". it suits our taste very well. always fresh, well prepared and tasty. we avoid the long wait by sitting at the bar. you'd be really lucky to have ""Alexia"" wait on you. she is one of the nicest, most heerful bartenders we have ever experienced. Pros: Alexia the bartender, consistent Cons: long wait more

Ok folks, this isn't Chinese food 11/9/2002

Fusion food at it worst - particularly if you are looking for Chinese food - will never eat there again more

Not quite what I expected 9/26/2002

Maybe my expectations were too high but I expected some great food according to my friends who have dined there before. The food was mediocre and the clientele snooty. But that's the crowd they're catering too: folk that are scared of hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurants. But it caters to the ""non-Asian"" tastebuds very well and they make a very good effort to be ""authentic."" We were a little surprised that the waiter didn't know if they had white pepper. more

Yea this is it 9/25/2002

Great food, melt in your mouth chicken. Lettuce wraps are yummy. Very good place to eat some asian cusine, authentic or not,its just plain great food. Always worth the wait and the trip. more

Disappointed. 9/10/2002

Service was great. Stuff was so friendly. Interior was cool. The first time visiting was a wonderful experience. So we went there again. Their service was still great, however, we were so disappointed because of the food. Mongolian beefs flavor was nothing but sugar, which was sweeter than a desert. Thats too much! Other dishes were too salty. How come did the food turn to so bad? If you go there, ask them to use less seasoning. Then you will be saticefied. more

Great ambiance, lousy food 9/7/2002

The ambiance is great, but this is not authentic chinese food by any imagination. Over salty and sweet. Go to Sea Garden or Judy Foo's more

Is This Real Chinese Food? 9/6/2002

As a Chinese myself, I am pretty picky about my Chinese food. P.F. Chang has good trendy atmosphere with a great bar, which you don't normally find in Chinese restaurants. But the food is not at all authentic Chinese! So, if you are looking for a place to just hang out with some good drinks and finger foods, this will be the place to be. But for a good Chinese dine out, I personally would not recommend it. Pros: Good Drinks, Good Service Cons: Bad Parking, Crowded, Not Authentic more

Tasty stuff... 8/15/2002

The portions are smaller than you might expect for family style Asian food, but the flavor is delightful. It's a great place to dine with 3-5 people. Beyond that is a bit of a stretch. The restaurant really isn't designed to seat large parties and it's so popular that without a reservation (which I think they don't take if I recall correctly) you'll be hard pressed to get in with less than an hour+ wait. Pros: good food Cons: price, wait time for a table more

okay food, nothing exciting 8/5/2002

The lettuce wraps were actually really good- but other than that it was only ok. Nothing was particularly creative, just appears to be buying into the 'fusion food' trend. Crowded, and yes trendy, and if you're hungry, it's not that bad (the location is convenient if shopping), but it's nothing I would write home about. Service was ok. Pros: location is convenien, food is edible Cons: not inspiring, pricey for what you, get more

Average- at the most 8/1/2002

Really great service- really boring, bland food. Owned by Pepsi, this restaurant has had plenty of money to market test their food for what the average Joe thinks is tasty. Joe loves this place, but anyone a little more refined than the average American will not be impressed. Especially in Seattle, where we have a strong Asian influences sparkling all over, you can definetly find more exciting, creative food elsewhere. Support the small restaurant owner- it is better for our economy and your tastebuds! Pros: Average, Friendly service, Grandma would like it Cons: Uncreative, Long waits, not good more

Number 1 7/30/2002

Awesome Place! Get great portions, Service Friendly! the Food is Fabulous! more

BEST IN TOWN! 7/26/2002

This is by far the best place to go to get Chinese! I tried it for the first time in Las Vegas and I am so glad they put one in here! My boyfriend and I go there EVERY Saturday! The bar tenders are the best and they make a mean mandarin martini! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! more
