HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! 7/16/2014

Worst experience ever!! The owner is very rude, refused to apologize for how my dogs were cut she injured and refused to refund my money. I have 2 dogs that I took in, my poodle mix just needed a trim and he was shaved down to the skin. When asked about this I was told oh he must have had matts. My dog did not have matts. Then, my girl dog, a Lhasa apso, needed to be shaved. Well they did do a good job doing that. Until I noticed while she was sitting on the counter that her leg was bleeding. I asked why her leg was bleeding and I was told she cut herself. No she did not cut herself. She had bad razor burn on the inside of both of her legs and in spots on her belly. \r The owner was very rude, informed me they don't do refunds and that he was tired of hearing my complain so if I don't like it then to just not come back. I definitely will not be going back. This owner does not care about customer service or the animals they are caring for. Had he simply refunded my $88 for this hack job more

Shut this place down! 6/28/2011

Horrible grooming practices. twice they hacked off the skin grouths on my older dogs back and gave him back to me bleeding and with crusted blood. No effort was made to clean the wound.\r I attempted to board y dogs there once and was not informed that I needed shot records. The woman was exreemly rude and said she did not have time to help me.. I missed my flight trying to find a better boarding place. I simply did not have time to go back to my house and get the records without misising my flight. To make matter worse, I got a terribly rude e-mail from the manager full of lies and excuses and implied I was not a responsible pet owner assuming I did not have chot records at all. I will never go there again and I highly advise that no one take their beloved pet there. If they are that rude to customers, I am really afraid of how they must treat you pet after you leave. more

Don't Go 1/3/2011

Don't go to P'etcetera for grooming. Not sure how they are on boarding, but the grooming is bad. Just took my dog there on 12/29/10. They didn't do a very good job with the cut, clipping nails, etc. The worst part is the huge razor burn. Five days later and it's not over with. Still treating with medication, dog is too scared to come out of his crate and hasn't played since we got home from there. The poor little dog has been howling with pain. We will not ever go there again. more

Just be careful when using these people 10/12/2010

I would NEVER leave my dog here overnight. I do not trust them to leave my dog there more then a few hours. Every time I go there, its a pass or fail with them. I think it just depends on who gets ahold of my dog. I dont think they take pride in their work and sometimes it shows. more

Smoking still an issue. 9/18/2010

I walked in to P'etcetera the other day just to look at the products that were for sale and decide if I wanted to take my dogs there. I did not stay long! The smoking is still an issue and you can tell. This was not an old smoke smell guys. There was a cigarette lit up while I was in the office. It was unbearable. That being said, I will not be bringing my animals there for any reason. more

Great Goom/Boarding!!! 6/21/2010

When I was younger we use to take our family dog to P'etcetra and had nothing but great service and a hapy dog every time. Now me and my husband take our dog there and again still wonderful service. Our dog was so happy at pick up and tired cause they played with her non stop. We were out of town for a week and had no worries about our little girl. She was matted from her winter coat and they took time to groom her and make her so pretty. I am not sure why they have had bad reviews but my family friends and us use them and have never had a problem. Great place for your animal to go stay!!!!! more

Poor Customer Service 6/17/2010

I have been a customer for over 2 years. I took my dog to the Galloway P'etcetera yesterday to have him groomed (same cut as every other visit. My husband picked him up and when I got home, I realized that they did not groom him the way I had requested (as written on the card). My husband called and explained to issue to the owner and was told the groomers would be in at 9:30 this morning and to bring our dog back in to get it corrected. When my husband got there at 9:40 -no groomers and the owner then blamed us for their error (because my husband didn't catch it when the dog was picked up). I will NEVER take any of my animals back to the place. What company owner blames a customer (long standing customer) for his employee's error. He won't do it to us again - they just lost our business forever! more

Permanent Damage 5/28/2010

I took my poodles there and they apparently burned a hole in my toy poodle's coat.That was two months ago and her hair hasn't grown back, so I guess it won't.She's still young and will always have a very noticeable permanent bald spot thanks to Petcetera.They didn't even bother to tell me what happened when I picked her up.I would never take another animal here.And, yes, the smoke smell is terrible. more

Dirty Dog 9/3/2008

We dropped our dog off for Labor Day weekend boarding. We left him there for 4 nights and one day. When we dropped him off he was perfectly clean, but when we picked him up he had dried feces on his rear end and pee-pee all over his paws and legs. It looked as though he had been wading in pee-pee up to his elbows. I called and spoke to Dale. He obviously is not a caring business man even though his words say he is. He said it was not his responsibility to keep my untrained dog clean while it was in his kennel. He said he had given the dog 3 courtesy baths while he was there, but the dog still got dirty. Maybe he did give the dog 3 baths, but if that is so, why was the feces dried on the dog? Must have been quite a while since the last of those 3 "so-called" courtesy baths. My dog is trained and has been for 14 years. My wife was handed this dog with this filth all over him for her to place in her car. Dale said that's the way it is when you pick them up at 10 till 6. Grooming top-notch 8/14/2008

I have been taking my dogs to this groomer for about 6 months now. I have a Bichon which is a very difficult dog to groom and he always comes out beautiful. I came to this shop after trying several other groomers and hating how my dog looked when I picked him up. I would recommend this shop to anyone who has a dog that needs a lot of time being groomed because this shop takes their time and my dogs looks great when I pick them up. Very satisfied and will continue to be a customer of P'Etcetera!!! more

I have used this shop for over 10 years. At first I boarded there because it was close and inexpensive. Folks - you get what you pay for in boarding, and having worked for a $40/night kennel - you rarely get what they promise. What do you think happens at your vet's boarding? They are warehoused...period. That being said...\r \r Smoke smell - huge turnoff. Even though smoking has been "taken outside", the place needs to repaint or have a cleaning service come in as you can't tell that smoking is not ongoing inside\r \r Grooming service - again people.... you have to be very specific. Once I figured out that I had to reiterate exactly what I wanted cut and to what length and when....I had a few unhappy experiences. That being said....\r \r The convenience is great. I believe they do genuinely care about my dogs and providing what I want. need more help 4/28/2008

When you board your pet with Petcetera is your pet really taking care of?They tell you your pet is let out in the morning,noon,and even.But if you sit in the back and watch,you will see that they are only out twice aday.He has the person that work in morning go and help wash dogs at noon and they dont return until 4:00 p.m.Your dog is only put outside to give the person time to clean the cage and put down food.If more people knew about this site he would have more bad reveiws! more

Petcetera is a great place to take your dogs for grooming! 3/17/2008

We have been taking our dogs to Petcetera for grooming since they opened -- well over ten years. No complaints about the grooming and the staff is always friendly and polite. We have boarded our labradoodle with them and he came home happy, clean, and well-cared-for. They seem to have lots of repeat customers, so they are doing right by a lot of people and their dogs. more

Boarding 2/20/2008

We've boarded our dogs there for many years. Vacations and trips are more relaxed knowing we don't have to worry about "the kids".\r PetCetera always treats them great, and at a reasonable price. We always have them bathed prior to picking them up, and they're always active, happy and sweet-smelling!! more

Smoking 12/28/2007

We were allowing smoking in the office during cold and/or inclement weather. This policy will be changed and all smoking will be done outdoors. Smoking has NEVER been permitted around the pets. more

Smoking Environment 11/13/2007

They do a good job on my dogs, but the last time I was there I walked in and the place was filled with cigarette smoke. The whole front office was smelly. Very unpleasant for me and my dogs probably were subjected to it also. Will not use them again. This is disrespect plain and simple. I wondered if the whole staff smokes in the office all day!!!! more

wrong cut on my dogs 7/12/2007

i took my two dog there for a year.they cut my long hair dog short and my short hair dog a lite trim.when this first happen i accepted the mistake.but once again they cut his hair off again,after it was long.the owner couldn't explain how it happened twice.this is when i knew he didn't care about my pets.i refuse to do business with this shop.they have too much turn around. more

Wonderful Service! 6/21/2006

I have been taking my dogs and my mothers dogs to this groomer for years. They are very polite and they treat our dogs very well. They always work us right in and the prices are very reasonable. The shop in front is really cute and has alot of extra little items that you might want to buy for your dog for a treat for going to the groomers.
