Spectacular services in electronics and computers 3/28/2012

For the past 7 and a half years that I've known about Pc guys I've had no problem or worry! about getting a good & reliable service on my laptop, desktop, and xbox 360. I know when I take it in there to get it repaired its always done right away. Today, I still count on them to repair all of my computer and electronic issues. I would like it done the right way, that's the right way this is just the perfect place for electronic and pc repairs!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Excellent Service 3/27/2012

My 2 year old got hold of my touch screen and dropped it too many times she broke my screen and the back part of my phone I needed to get it fixed fast so I took it into pc guys, in a few days I called in they said it was ready for it to be picked up, the price was very reasonable very happy that pc guys were able to fix my phone, I also told my friends and family about pc guys services they were really fast and friendly& reliable. more

A fixed smart phone! 3/27/2012

My android touch screen smart phone is my life my screen froze I turn it off and back on again it still would not work, a friend told me about pc guys so I gave them a call they told me to bring it in and it only took them three days to get it working again, and I had no problem with my phone ever since. I like the way they do their job, thanks for a job well done on my smart phone. more

Needed to take the computer back into the store for virus removal. The have provided me with AVAST! with a 30 day warranty against re-infection. I did get another virus but they cleaned it for free. more

I was in the market for my first laptop and had no idea of what I wanted or needed. PCGuys asked all the right questions to find out what features I would need and found me a laptop that I could afford. They are there if I had questions - especially when I first bought it and always give me a call back promptly. Terrific service!!! more

Need quality computer service? Better check here 1st. 10/1/2011

I just recently took my computer in to PC Guys for its annual checkup. As I took it out of my vehicle and moved to the door a young woman rushed to the door to hold it open for me. Thinking she was only the receptionist I asked if the owner was in. It was then I discovered this woman was a computer tech. She asked what my difficulties were, explained in detail the process for my computer's checkup. I also ordered a virus check because I knew my antivirus coverage had expired.The next day I received a call from the tech to inform me my antivirus coverage had been renewed and was informed that by adding additional RAM the computer's processing could be increased. I agreed. I picked up my computer the next day and got it hooked back up at home, I found it to be working noticeably quicker(I do a number of large spreadsheets). I have found it a very rare quality in businesses that they take the time to keep their customers informed as to the status of the work they are doing. PC Guys has helped me solve questions I have when ever I have a computer related difficulty. I recommend them anytime I hear anyone who has a computer difficulty or is looking to replace the computer they currently own. I have always found them to be informative, helpful and patient when I am in the store or on the phone with them. Any business looking to gain or retain customers should look to PC Guys as an example of how to take care of the customer. more

Playstation 3 Repair Botched and Lied to 9/2/2011

First off i guess this is my fault according to kara (manager). I had a Playstation 3 serviced by this company only because they claim they are faster than the warranty service provided by Sony. My Playstation 3 experienced a YLOD ( Yellow Light OF Death ) and i was going to send it in for repair however i noticed a company advertising on Craigslist was claiming they could repair them quicker than Sony could do it and i figured why not... I took my PS3 into this company and a girl named kara who claimed to be the manager said they fix them alot faster than sony and have done it many times. I DIRECTLY asked her if this would remove the warranty with sony and she said NO. I decided to let them fix i. My first complaint - When i got it back they had wiped the PS3 hard drive so all my content and music was gone. My second complaint - After about 1 1/2 months after the repair it happened again.. This time i called pc guys to find out they only warranty the repair for 30 days and i would need to pay the amount again. It was time to send my PS3 to sony i was simply tired of these games. 1 week later after sending to sony i get a call from them explaining this unit was not able to be fixed under warranty due to a 3rd party opening and burning the system board. I feel i was lied to by PC GUYS! I will never use them again for anything. Im out of a PS3 a good chunk of money and gained a bit of insight. more

Tried to take advantage of me 7/21/2011

Went in to see if the by off chance had an old IDE laptop drive to repair an old laptop for a friend. They offered me a new 160gb drive for $60 which wasn't a bad deal but being a 5 year old laptop I wasn't willing to spend that much out of pocket. I told them my price point was $20. All I needed was a small 20 - 30 GB drive. They hemmed and hawed for a few minutes with two people giving me answers back and forth and too each other. Finally they told me they had one just needed to wait 10 minutes while the cleaned off the drive. 10 minutes turned in 20 minutes with the techs walking around in the backroom but not giving me any updates. After my wait a 3rd person came out took my information then told me the price for the 30 GB drive would be $40 + Tax Hard drives havn't been priced at the $1 per GB mark in 10 years and they wanted to charge more than that? I'm only asking for the drive, not the labor to install it. Sorry your simply trying to take advantage of someone at that point. more

I find it strange that good posts are all after a bad one and the dates are all on or around the same day. and magically after a review where someone complained. i wish id looked here before i went in there. i had an unsettling experience similar to what other customers have posted on here. i love local businesses but this is one to avoid. more

Worry Free. 3/8/2011

I met two technicians that work at PC GUYS, both Worthington residents. I went there for a computer problem, and they gave me straightforward prices and and choices. I decided to take my PC there based on a recommendation from a friend, and the reputation of the company, in town. I was told they were fast! They are. I found myself in and out of the store with repairs completed in 72 hours. A good community business that I will recommend to others. Vita more

Top of the line 1/3/2011

When we went we were a little skeptical, I went here first never having used a pc repair service before. We shopped it, PC Guys is definitely the least expencive and they are as fast if not faster than all the local places we visited or called. I encourage you to shop around and see for yourself. Their warranties are great and come with all services and repairs. You won't find this at all at any of the privately owned shops and they are short and the coverage isn't great at the major repair locations in Columbus, See for yourself. more

Great face to face service 3/15/2010

I took my older laptop in for repair as it was making strange noises and they were able to figure out the problem that same day, order the part from IBM, and get my laptop back to me very quickly. They even gave me frequent update phone calls to let me know how my repair was coming along. I have had to deal with tech support on the phone with Dell before and I much prefer the personal, face to face service that PC guys offers. I had the pc guys come to my home. I needed help with my software. They were polite and friendly. They explained to me, how they were going to fix things, as they fixed my computer. They took about an hour and a half, but the time seemed to go by much faster than that. I am very happy them and will call again if I need more help. Thank you. Told The Truth 1/18/2010

The technician was straightforward about what was required for my laptop. I paid for the repair and was out the door in 48 hours. Although they don't have much in the way of retail items in their showroom, I was happy with the options and pricing I was given for my repair. Straightforward, fast, ""mom and pop."" Pros: I felt the representative explained exactly what I needed. Cons: None so far. more
