Having just returned from a visit to PK Walsh, I wanted to share my experience of being a client of theirs for almost 20 years. They changed my life! I first noticed signs of thinning hair back in my 20's and tried to hide it by wearing headbands and creating modified comb-overs (who was I kidding?). When that stopped working, I went to visit PK Walsh. I was immediately struck by the level of sensitivity, caring and lack of pushiness. I never felt pressured to become a client. In fact, I felt like I was just having a conversation about my hair loss with a friend. Talking about my needs and lifestyle helped us to determine what would work best for me. Over my 20 years with PK Walsh, I have worn many different hair pieces. Since many of the staff at PK Walsh ""wear hair"", they understand the importance of wearing a hair piece that is natural-looking. If a piece came in that was not up to PK Walsh standards (and that is extremely high), they addressed and corrected the issue immediately, without any cost to me. I don't go around telling people that I wear a hair piece, but if I choose to share that with someone, I am always delighted to see their shock and to hear them say that they would never have thought it wasn't my own, natural hair. The PK Walsh salon, itself, is a pleasure to visit. The staff are warm and welcoming and the hair stylists are extremely talented. Since hair loss, especially for women, is a sensitive issue, PK Walsh offers private styling rooms. I can't say enough good things about PK Walsh and recommend it highly to anyone who is experiencing hair loss/thinning hair.
