So I had two coworkers take me out for lunch one day. We decided on P.F. Changs in SLC. We had the lettuce wraps for the appetizer. They tasted as expected...nothing impressive there. All three of us decided on something different to share. Chang's Spicy Chicken, Shrimp with Candied Walnuts, and Chendgu Spiced Lamb. Chang's Spicy Chicken - Low on the flavor scale, spicy tasted like tabasco sauce, quite dissappointing there, best out of the three dishes. Shrimp with Candied Walnuts - Wow...too much citrus...couldn't even tell I was eating shrimp...the citrus sauce flavored everything...unedible in my opinion. Chendgu Spiced Lamp - High Hopes for this dish were quickly crushed...couldnt' tell it was lamb...too much exta flavor added to the lamb...could have been eating beef that was prepared the same way, and it would have tasted the same...was however, edible enough to eat. I must say, I do have high standards. One of the two coworkers agreed with me on most things I said above, and the other loved the meal. Overall, the service wasn't bad, but the food was. If this was at some $9 a plate chinese restaurant, I would expect this, and choose not to go there again. At the prices this food cost, it was just awful. $5.99 chinese lunch buffet appeals to me more than P.F. Chang's China Bistro.
Pros: None that I can think of...oh wait, the hostess was very nice.
Cons: The food and the price.
