Since having the pleasure to have eaten at PF Changs in both Dallas and El Segundo, the Austin PF Changs does not measure up. Service was slow and the food was below standard, not but once but the three times that I visited, which will keep me from visiting Austin's PF Changs again. Typical Chain for the Dull Palate 11/8/2002

This typical Chain restaurant caters to the Dull Palate. The best thing I can say about it is, it is decidedly up-scale. The food is dull and boring, prepared for the least common denominator Midwestern American taste. If you want imaginative cuisine or authentic Chinese food, go elsewhere. more

Not your typical Chinese food 10/3/2002

This is not your 'traditional' Chinese food restaurant, so don't go in there thinking about all the OTHER types of Chinese food you've had before & how they'll compare - they are very different in taste, but VERY tasty. They offer a flavor for 'Chinese' food that I've not found anywhere else. A little overpriced, but generally good food. Pros: orange beef, Lemon Chicken, Chicken-Lettuce wraps Cons: overpriced, not enough platters, no fried rice option more

Downtown Location 8/20/2002

Personally I think that the P.F. Chang's Downtown location at 201 San Jacinto is far better than the Jollyville location in terms of service, organization of the host staff, and overall atmosphere. Parking is never a problem because of the great valet service that is offered, and you are just blocks away from the many music and bar venues that Austin has to offer. more

Chang's is a gourmet's delight without the ubiquitous chinese buffet table with lukewarm eggrolls and noodles . . . everything is served freash to your table. Make sure you try the lettuce rolls that combine the coolness of veggies and the warmth of a chicken/water chestnut mix . . . yummy! Pros: Great food Cons: Long Lines more

i LOVE pf changs. it is clean (overlooked at asian restaurants. i should know. i am asian.). service is always good. food is yummy. very romantic. nice decor/atmosphere. more ""upscale."" order: pan fried shrimp dumplings - to start out lettuce wraps are okay too, but i prefer the dumplings soup - hot and sour and won ton are both good double pan fried noodles - entree - choose with beef, chicken, shrimp or all of them i always get some combination of the above. sometimes a wait, but it's worth it. may be expensive, but the serving portions are huge, so take it to-go. Pros: food, wait staff, atmosphere Cons: expensive, wait can be long, crowded more

PF Changs is consistently good. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful and the price is right. I have been to PF Changs many times and they have NEVER let me down. We have friends who drive in from out of town just to eat at PF Changs. Keep it up! Pros: Delicious, Great Drinks, Wonderful Atmosphere more

Great food 5/23/2002

I think PF Chang's has a lot to offer for a dining experience. The food is great and the service is excellent. The only downfall is it's popularity. On any given evening you can expect to wait upwards of an hour for a table. My suggestion is a reservation. more
