Dirty! 1/14/2014

This place has seriously gone downhill. I've taken my daughter a few times over the past few years, but not any more. The bathroom was so disgusting, the room stunk of dirty diapers. Obviously they don't take out he trash because it was overflowing and it was 10 am. The mats and floors are dirty, all the equipment was covered in dust, the mirror wall was covered in grubby handprints. I realize that kids are running around tearing the place up, but it is clearly not being maintained. I won't go back there unless I feel like getting a bacterial infection more

Not very clean or well kept 10/6/2013

We have now attended two birthday parties at p.e.101 and both times it was very dirty. The foam cubes were very worn and torn up. The carpet and mats were not clean and some needed replacing. The parachute had a big tear in the center and one of the straps wrap around a child's chin and the party goers didn't realize it. The restrooms were a mess. This would have been a better experience if the general maintenance had been complete. Part of the zip line is being held with electrical tape...safety hazard!!! more

Too few personnel & unfriendly 7/13/2008

I don't write many of these but when I saw the owners' response to the first comment, I knew I had to write! We went to my nephew's 4 yr birthday party there - there were older and younger kids ranging from 2 yrs old to 16 yrs old. The kids age 14 to 16 really didn't have much to do but that was okay with everyone because the focus was on the younger children. We had about 3 adults for every child and monitored the pit and the trampoline very closely - if you ever book a party there, plan on inviting at least one adult per child mandatory for safety reasons because one employee for 20 kids is not manageable. Our kids had a great time. With that said, I have very different comments about the personnel. My sister paid for the party but the girl did not do ANY games with them. We directly ASKED her when she was going to do the games and she said she would not be doing them. My sister is very forgiving and let it slide but I hate it when people take advantage of her generous nature! Anyways, after giving instructions to the guests, the employee disappeared behind the desk during most of the party. The only time I remembered seeing her was during treat time (we offered her some of the cake) and at closing time. Another thing to remember is that its virtually impossible for them to clean that pit so bring plenty of hand sanitizer! Overall, we thought it was a fun place for the kids but it was fun because of the facility, and that we had many adults there who focused on safety. Please be mindful of this before you book anything with them! more

We love this place 3/26/2008

We are in two very large playgroups that book this as one of events on a regular basis. We haven't had much contact with the employees except to pay and ask any questions, but they always seem nice enough. We love the zip line and the foam pit, and even the trampoline, which is built into the ground for safety is a magnet for kids. We will definitely be doing a birthday party here. more

Poor Handling of Birthday Party 12/3/2007

I was very disappointed with P.E. 101's handling of my daughter's birthday party. P.E. 101 only had 1 (one) person scheduled to direct the party (there were 22 kids); and this person was less than thrilled to be there to say the least. Parents had to help the kids out of the foam pit; Parents had to help the children by the trampoline; the only activity the P.E. 101 employee did was direct a few games; yell at the kids a few times; and help hand out cupcakes. I felt like I needed to pay the parents who helped out w/the kids. Many of the parents commented on the employee's poor attitude through-out the birthday party. It was quite obvious that directly the party was the very, very last place she wanted to be. I essentially paid $150 to rent the space for 90 minutes. Luckily, the kids ran around and enjoyed essentially unsupervised and unstructured play for 90 minutes; many parents commented on how poorly P.E. 101 handled this birthday party. The party was definitely not worth the $150. more

Kids Love P.E. 101 3/21/2007

Both of my children, ages 4 and 6, have attended several birthday parties and events at P.E. 101 and absolutely love it there. It's a nice place for my kids because there are things to do for both the younger and the older children to do. We decided to have my son's birthday party this year and it was wonderful. The staff member who coordinated the activites for the party was great with the kids and they were kept busy the entire time. There is also an area where the kid's could eat birthday cake and open presents. He had a great day - thank you! I also thought the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend P.E. 101 to others. more

Nice Job 2/12/2007

We have attended about a dozen parties here with our children over the years and the bottom line is the kids always have a good time. They are active and worn out by the end of the party. This is better than the Chuckie Cheese party, hands down. The staff makes sure the kids have fun, behave themselves and are safe. more

P.E. 101 Kid's Gym 11/9/2006

P.E. 101 is a locally owned and operated kid's gym (not a franchise) and has been in business for almost 10 years. Fitness classes and camps are offered to preschool/school age kids, with open play for preschoolers and toddlers. Please call 445-8343 for costs and times. P.E. 101 birthday parties are 90 minutes, it is a PRIVATE party with instruction and invitations included. The cost is $150 for up to 20 kids, $5 for each child over 20 with a 30 child maximum. A $50 deposit is required to reserve a space. Parties are held 7 days a week, you may bring in your own food or we can supply cupcakes and juice for $1 per child. P.E. 101 would like to thank our loyal customers for 10 great years- we love working with your children! As the owner of P.E. 101 I would like to respond to the above review. It is unfortunate that Nunzia J. stopped in during a time when her daughter was not allowed in the play area due to a scheduled event. Our private parties are for guests of the birthday child only while toddler play is for kids 3 and younger. Both policies are safety driven. However, our facility's wide open space is easily visible from the waiting area. I'm sorry Nunzia J's P.E. 101 experience was not what she had expected as we are not a "drop-in" facility. I will relay to our staff that during often messy & noisy parties it is important to keep an eye on the waiting area and explain our policies with a smile. Word of mouth and referals have always been our greatest customer source and we aim to create a fun and unforgetable play environment for your children! more

Unfriendly personnel 3/20/2006

We had heard of this place but never been there. We heard that you could "drop-in" for playtime. My almost 4 yo and I went in on a Saturday. The desk person ignored us for at least 10 minutes and when I asked about "drop-ins" she was very nasty and said that they don't do that anymore and that 4 yo children are too rough and rowdy so they don't even have classes for them anymore. My 4 yo was in tears. She could have at least told us to look around. In addition, it didn't look very clean. I would definitely say not to waste your time. You would be better off at the Children's museum! more
