We checked in at the Hyatt Newport and asked the concierge to recommend a restaurant and without hesitation he said ""Oysters"". So we had him make us a reservation. We showed up about 30 minutes early and thought we would have a drink at the bar. The maitre d' said he could seat us right away if we wanted, so we took him up on his offer. We started off with the Spicy Salmon Tempura Roll which was incredible. Then we had the Kung Pao Calamari. This is one of the best dishes I have ever had, the calamari was tender, sweet, spicy, fabulous!!!! The entrees were just as incredible. I had the Halibut with shrimp risotto and my wife had the white sea bass with creamy mashed potatoes abottle of Hitching Post Pinot Noir to go with it and i'm talking culinary heaven. Our server was top notch, pleasant, knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, a real pleasure. After the meal the comped us after dinner drinks, a Tuaca for me and an Amaretto for my wife.
