Dr. Burd was recommended by a 3rd party. I scheduled an appointment. The front desk staffer was nice, but I asked to sign multiple waivers for which I had to select the levels of treatment and medication to be applied in case they screwed up. I'm almost 50 and have had numerous dogs in my life. This was easily the WORST veterinary experience I've ever had. The waivers all seemed designed to deflect any and all responsibility to the owner in case of incompetence or "accident" that might occur. I wished I had paid better attention to some of the reviews prior to wasting my time. Fortunately, we decided not to leave our dog in his care. more

I have been taking my dog to Oxford for the last 7 years. Their staff is friendly, knowledgable, and has a true love for animals. I have used all of their services and they are excellent. If you are looking for a vet that cares about you and your pet, this is the place to go. I won't take my dog anywhere else! more

I called in this morning at 7 AM and my 7 year old Yorkie had gotten very ill over night. They got her in immediately and worked with my schedule for pick up. They called throughout the day to update me on her prognosis. In the end my puppy mill rescue dog was safe and sound. They were very helpful and Dr. Ross Burd provided me with a clear explanation of everything they had done today. Along with being a puppy mill rescue she has many health problems, some of which I had no idea of the severity. He explained to me why we should complete the next steps and how it will help with the quality of the remaining years of her life. In the end I would recommend this vet to anyone and everyone. They were extremely kind and loving to my special dog. more

This vet was recommended to my by a client of mine and will never return!! The front desk staff was fantastic, although that doesn't help the health of my dog! After x-rays and blood work, they couldn't tell me anything about my dogs health without spending an additional $750 after I just spent $400 just for xrays and blood work!! They sent me home with NO treatment and no hope for the recovery of my dog! I asked all the questions I thought to ask and got no where. As a vet I believe you should give your patient all options and prices to make sure they are helping the best they can, not just one expensive option and say there's NOTHING ELSE WE CAN DO! I got a second opinion and found that the medication they put on my dog, ( after I asked for them to do this, they didn't even offer!!) was actually KILLING HIM and was no where near the drug he needed to recover! Our beloved family dog recently had to be put to sleep unexpectedly. The Staff and Doctors (specifically Dr. Ross Burd and Lisa) at Oxford Animal when above and beyond as we went through the whole process from explaining all the details surrounding our Dog's condition and possible options, they were with us through every step until the very end with the utmost respect, patience and kindness. They truly consider every animal a part of their Oxford Family and our Murray was no different. more

My dogs love the veterinarians there! The care is excellent. We have been going here for 5 years. My 2 dogs also go here for doggy day care and grooming. I would not go anywhere else!! more

Took my dog in Thursday he was dead Friday . Was health when I took him in. Sad Family and no dog and they don't know why Vet has no clue why he died. more

This is a very good vet office. They are very nice and friendly to the people and the animals. They seem to care about the animals and take good care of them. The office is always clean. more
