What's the Attraction 6/20/2006

Don't ask why we went back after the one disappointing time, but we did. Of course since they don't take reservations you have to either go into their bar for drinks (hard to do with kids) or stand in the postage stamp sized foyer area for 30-45 minutes minimum. After you are seated the server my come by within 10 or 15 minutes. Your meal takes a very long time to arrive but they are hoping that you will order that disgusting onion thing while you're waiting (this they can cook very quickly apparently). When your meal does arrive (the meat is always overcooked but don't send it back or you may never eat that night) it will be mediocre and your server will never come back to check if it's okay until he's ready to deliver your check. Please, there are too many other nice places to dine in the Bothell area including Grazie and Pen Thai, even Bone Fish if you want to pay that much. more

I don't "get" Outback 4/14/2006

Really, this is nothing more than a way overrated chain restaurant. You can get a steak just as "good" at Applebees and wait a whole lot less time for a table. Yeah, they do have that whole greasy onion tower thingy that everyone raves about - um, yuck. No thanks. We won't go back here. more

Leave This Outback 4/11/2006

I love all things Australian. But I just don't get Outback. Sure, that big onion is a nice treat. And service is usually friendly to the point of flirtatious. Once you get past that, service is usually slow (they never seem to have enough help in the kitchen). The food is often greasy. The bill is often heavy like the food. I suppose it is a fun place to hang out if you want to drink a lot and nibble a little. But I can't recommend it as a place to dine regularly. more

Go Back to Outback 3/19/2006

Here is one of those places were our family disagrees. One of us likes it, another thinks the food is to greasy and overpriced, and yet another feels that the food is tough and dry. Go figure. We all agree that the service is friendly, but tends to be on the slow side. And there always seems to be plenty of parking. Oh, and we all do like the big onion thingy. more
