Otter's Chicken

The place serves only chicken tenders and fries (three kinds of tenders- battered, buffalo, or grilled) and cole slaw. The tenders are terrific! They're a little hot though (wait a few minutes to let them cool before you dig in). It seems a little expensive, but you get a TON of food. I'm a big eater, and still, the last time we went my wife and I split a five-piece meal between us and couldn't eat it all (which a five-piece and two cokes was only around $5-6 per person, pretty reasonable for nashville fare). The atmosphere is nice enough, and you can eat outside (or in front of nice open garage-style doors, where you have shade and outdoor air too). Altogether a nice meal when you want something quick, yummy, and not fast food, but don't want to bothere with something fancy. more

We love to eat at Otter's in Nashville. They have the best chicken strips around.. great fries, cool place, and the perfect atmosphere. Also, they do specials.. I think on Sunday's if you bring your churhc bulletin they will donate a percentage to your church, etc. (I'm not positive on the dates/details, just read it on the board awhile back). They always have coupons around town, in the entertainment book, etc.. and it is priced fairly anyway. more

Otter's Chicken is a newer restaurant in the downtown area that serves almost nothing more than Chicken Strips. Wait! This is a good thing! Otter's chicken is some of the best I've ever tried. The batter must be a secret reicipe because I've never had any like it. In addition, there are several different dipping sauces you can choose from. Their fries are also incredibly good. Otter's is also in a nice location, close to the round about on music row and near several sports bars. The food is a little on the expensive side for fried chicken, but it's worth every penny. more
