Ottawa Sanitation Service

I've been with Ottawa Sanitation for years, and I've never had a drop of trouble. I do often have to leave messages, but they always call me back. They are very reasonable, and compared to other disposal companies in the area, they are great. I've know several people who have had issues with the big "D" on what, how, and when they will pick things up. I have left couches, loveseats, vacuums, etc., and Ottawa has always taken them away. more

this is the worst company i have ever dealt with in any line of work. their billing department is one old, crotchety hag who refuses to let you talk to anyone else and will repeatedly hang up on you if she doesn't want to deal with you. their hours are sporadic at best. there is frequently nobody in the office if the ladies up front want to leave early and none of the guys sitting in there will EVER help. please, search for more reviews. they have several cases against them with the BBB and people have reported them unexpectedly cancelling service and dumping the contents of the trash can in your lawn to get their garbage back. i have even gone in there to ask to speak with someone other than the demon up front and i get asked to leave. all i wanted to do was find out why their site says it's secure (when it's not, check the specs on their certification), why they can't apply payments just based on an account number (they told me that my payment was in limbo. they kept my money without giving me service), and why i keep getting hung up on. DO NOT EVER EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. there are reviews of them taking payments and denying service and then not showing up to future meetings. the chamber of commerce and local officials know that this total witch works there, but there is nothing we can seem to do since it's a private company. nothing except leave and never use their service again. please, please, PLEASE do not use Ottawa sanitation. more

These guys are very reliable and very reasonable when it comes to their price for trash service. They will take just about anything you leave at your curb! Once we had a 75lb headboard that we drug out there. They picked it up and hauled it off for us...no problems at all. Their quarterly bill runs us less than $50 and we are renting a large trash can on wheels from them. Anytime I have had a question, their staff has always been friendly and professional. They never "throw" your trash cans back after they dump your trash like most others do. Keep up the good work! more
