I love our theatre! Small town, intimate confines, nicely kept, no sticky floors, wonderful & courteous employees, decent movie selections, exceptionally good prices. Prime time prices rival what other regional theatres charge for matinees. Pros: Convenience, accessibility, great staff. Cons: None to speak of. more

My daughter and I saw a movie at the Oswego Cinema last year after a visit to the Suny Oswego campus. We really enjoyed the friendly service, the selection of movies and especially the way the theatre kept the style and feel of how the theatre was used ""back in the day"". We understand from a local Oswegonian that the theatre was actually used for live entertainment and shows. The lounge outside the restrooms was our favorite with wall paper, velvet chairs and old fashioned rug. The parking is limited but it is mainly located right in front of the theatre. This movie theater is small compared to other theaters, yet it's selection in movies is excellent. It has several rooms for the showing of movies and, though small, they allow the locals to watch movies they would otherwise have to go miles away to see. Their service is average, with reasonably friendly employees. The parking is not very good, as it is often crowded and you may have to park a block away, but it is to be expected considering the theater's location. The pricing on the tickets I find to be very excellent, as the ""bargain matinees"" are only $5.50, and to me that is one of it's best qualities. Unfortunately, you cannot buy the tickets online and you are left to only hope that you can get a ticket for the movie you want. I have never been left stranded with no seat for my favorite movie, but if it does happen you can see it on some other date.
