Unexceptional, cramped...and terribly inauthentic. Plenty of better options are available to you.

was pleasantly surprised... really good, attentive service and solid food. the flourless chocolate cake was awesome - one of the best i've had in a while. Reasonably priced as well. Only down side is it was a little loud even when half empty. I could imagine it being super loud when busy (but so is most everything in sobe). more

Was drawn in for dinner & so happy we tried it. Grilled langostio (huge shrimp) appetizer was perfectly cooked. The lobster, avocado and mango salad was amazing - have never had anything like it. The homemade pasta with porcini mushroom pasta was divine - totally enjoyed sopping up the buttery sauce with the delicious bread. Very pricey place but not to missed! more

Fabulous food...amazing choices from the regular menu, to the specials. Excellent attentive friendly service, but not intrusive. Homemade pasta special was tender and delicious. Everyone in our group loved their meal. Best meal we had in south beach. more

My husband lived in Tuscany for a time, and he has made me an Italian food snob. But there is nothing better than really fresh, well made, slowly served, Italian food. This restaurant is a small, very friendly, elegant corner spot. Everything was to die for! My husbands only complaint was that the dinner portion was too big for him to order a pasta AND a veal dish. No one has ever rivaled my tirimisu until this place. I was impressed. Everyone was so attentive but not intrusive. I never wanted for anything. Highly recommend! more

Loved this place after failing at several spots with good reviews. Osteria Del Teatro had a amazing service and the food was delicious. I had lobster avocado and mango salad with truffle vinaigrette and grilled prawns as an entre. It was excellent. The servers were very attentive, warm, and friendly. This was the best meal my wife and I had while we were in Miami. more

Great food, wonderful Front of the House 5/7/2008

My husband and I have eaten here four times and the experience has always been superb. The champagne chicken is to die for and my husband always orders the spinach and ricotta ravioli. The Chef is top notch and the front of the house, Gilbert, makes everyone feel comfortable and at home. The waiters are very professional and all top-notch. This restaurant is worth every dime! more

Worth the Expense! 6/25/2007

Dinner for 2 with one glass of wine plus tip was right at $200.00 but it was the best meal I have ever experienced in Miami. We sought it out on our girls trip last month and thankfully found it! My appetizer was a stacked lobster dish with avocadoes, my caesar salad had perfectly blended dressing and my entree was supreme. The service was excellent with a server checking on each course with perfect timing and never allowing your water to get even a little low. A great South Beach choice. We secured reservations at this cozy restaurant same day. The food was above par - wonder caesar salad, great lobster app. The pasta was homemade and delectably fresh. Try the pecan pie for desert - yum. more

As a precocious diner, I expect the best when it comes to my palate. Well, this is where my palate proliferates, in the delight and feast of gastronomy. There has never been a dish that has been recommended or a wine that has been scrutinized that has not been a sensual delight to the mind and taste. Food: Unbelievable. Everything was just awesome. Service: Top notch. Not even close to SoBe BS. Tips: Need a Reservation. Tiny place. No bar. Go across street to Espanola (sp?) and have drink if early. Order off the specials menu...fantastic. more

Service, service, service 7/13/2002

This restaurant definitely has the best service in town. Considering the generally poor service found in Miami, it is a breath of fresh air. The food is fantastic, wait staff are knowledgable and extremely accomodating. Definitely one of the top 5 restaurants in town.
