Went on a field trip with my bride up to City Place and ending walking to this pub. It's your typical Irish set up except they have a special beer getup. They had this round table with chairs around it which had two beer taps in the middle, see pic. It had Guinness on one side and Harp on the other. No $hit, I had to try this thing out. You ask the waitress to cut it on and there is a meter that tracks how many pints you pour. I would have to say that this was the first time I ever poured a Guinness from a tap. I felt pretty damn cool pouring this pint as my wife rolled her eyes at me....lol. For some reason that was the best tasting Guinness I have ever had:) The waitress told us that these tables are big in Ireland and O'shea's was the only pub in South Florida that had one. \r \r We didn't eat so I can't comment on the food. As for the ambiance, we were there on a Monday at about 300p so it was pretty dead. Our waitress Laura was very nice. \r \r If you are a beer lover you should make a trip to this place just to see the beer table. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry! more

The bartender is not friendly. Sorry but if your a bartender you need to learn to talk to people. As soon as I moved down here I wanted to find a nice Irish pub. This is not it. They do have good gravy fries though. more

O'Shea's is a great chill place during the day and early evening. They have a lot of the beers other bars won't serve. Their food is amazing, especially their burgers, fries with Guinness gravy, and wings. The weekend nights are usually filled with live music inside and nice atmosphere out on the back patio. I give it a 9.5 out of 10. Anyone who judges it after one bad encounter is ignorant. more

I've been in Flo-rida for 4 months now and I was so excited that I finally found a "real" "Irish Pub" around that actually served Murphy's stout on tap. I browsed the detailed menu online before heading out and found that they had a pretty good mix of traditional Irish pub food as well as more common American pub eats. So let's get down to brass tacks. After paying $5 to park near Clematis, the first thing I do when I walk in is ask the hostess if the kitchen is still open. Instead of offering me a table or asking me if I wanted to sit at the bar, she simply said a quick "Yes" and walked away swiftly. So I headed over to the bar and found an empty stool. A bartender takes my beer order right away and all is good. After sitting there for a little over 25 minutes without getting my beer or a food menu, all is not good. The bartender walked by me a few times but so quickly I couldn't get his attention. After deciding they didn't serve my kind at the bar, I went back up to the hostess stand to ask for a table. After standing there for about 5 minutes without being acknowledged, I decide to take my invisible money elsewhere. Now, this was the day before Memorial Day so I expected a very busy pub and therefore not exactly flawless service, but this place was only about 10% occupied. I was really hoping to find a new home away from home, but I won't ever go back. I wish I could say how good this place was, but I never could get past first base. more

Good all around spot 8/27/2008

I love this lil place. Pool table, friendly patrons, great staff. Make sure to ask Pedro to make a ""S E X with an Aligator"" and ask Mark for pool lessons :). Bands are normally pretty good too. Wide slection of beer. Pros: Open late and very inviting Cons: bathrooms could use a lil help... what could u expect for an irish pub though? more

I had a great time and the food was great. Service was good until you went to the bar. Waiting for a drink I was ignored until 3 ladies walked up. The bar tender ignored me until I spoke up. He said ""do you not see these ladies "" who had walked up after I had been waiting for service. Pros: Food is good Cons: Don't expect service from the bar unless you have a dress more
