Great Sushi, Great service! 1/23/2009

I am a very credible source of good food. Osaka's is a must dining experience for anyone seeking great Sushi! The Sushi is so fresh, it is outstanding. I cannot imagine anyone to find a Sushi restaurant any better than this. While the service is important the freshness of the fish is most important. With this restaurant you get both. Great fresh fish and great service. Off of W Sahara Ave only 5 minutes from the Stratosphere, this off the strip experience is one any Sushi lover should do. You will not be disappointed! Pros: Fresh fish, good service, convenient off the strip location more

You'll never go anywhere else again!!! 11/8/2008

Ok so my boyfriend and I go here every month for a little anniversary. We both really like sushi and will try everything at least once. After trying nearly everything on the sushi menu, we cannot find one thing wrong with their food. The service is amazing too, it's not the typical place where you rely on your one waitor to take care of you the whole time, if someone who works there walks by and sees that you need something or that you plate needs to be taken, they take care of it. EXTREMELY friendly and welcoming environment. We go to other sushi places and we can't find one that can even compete and will go back to Osaka to redeem our love for sushi. The price is one of the better I've seen especially for the selection of fish they have. I like that on some nights they have a live jazz band playing, it's a random but pleasant mix with the japanese style. Go here and you'll never want to go to another sushi place again. Pros: Everything, not one flaw!!!! Cons: They're serving raw fish, be open minded about the way some of it looks. more

Best sushi I have ever had! 3/27/2008

This was by far the best sushi I have ever had. My husband and I went to Osaka after researching the restaurant online, and were EXTREMELY pleased. It was by far the freshest fish I have had. The toro was great...but even better was the tuna noted to be better than Toro. It was amazing. Do have to admit the meal ended up being VERY pricey...but well worth it. If you are going to give it a shot, I would recommend driving. Getting a taxi cab to TAKE you that far off the strip was a relatively easy task. To get one to come all the way back to take you to the strip was next to near impossible. Pros: Great food, fun ambience. Cons: Tough to find a taxi coming/going to the strip. more

Was there for the first time. The sushi was good and original. The service was tolerable, I was expecting more for the type of restaurant that Osaka is. The portions from the table are small so I would recommend this place for the sushi. Pros: sushi Cons: service is not 5 star like the food more

Amazing Sushi!!! 12/12/2006

We love the place, both locations are simply amazing. The staff is great and the atmosphere is trendy and upbeat. A great place to go alone or with friends. Great sushi prices as well as a fun bar. Also open late :) Pros: Sushi, service, locations, hours Cons: nothing more

Best Sushi Chef 9/28/2006

I heard about this place from a couple from Vegas. I was suppose to meet them there but they got diverted by another guest. So I ended up sitting at the sushi bar, by myself. But the chef was very friendly and the sushi was very fresh. My favorite is the 911 Roll, which I order almost every week I go back. Cozy atmosphere, great place to go by yourself, even for a girl. And the place is open until 2 am on weekends! If you go, definately say 'hi' to sushi chef Kenji and buy him a Sapporo beer ;) Pros: cozy atmosphere, hibachi grills, great sushi chef Cons: on weekends nights it gets a little busy more

OK Osaka 12/7/2003

Tried the the location near our home in Summerlin, and was pleased with the food quality, atmosphere and service for the most part. The service was great, the food while tasty was a bit cold, and portions on the small side. The atmosphere was not traditionally Japanese, but it was enjoyable. All in all we had a nice visis and appreciated their location near our home, as the Osaka location on Sahara is a bit inconvenient. If you are in the Summerlin area and have a taste for Japanese food, we suggest you try Osaka. Pros: Location, Service Cons: Cold food, Smallish portions more

I'm Japanese (not Japanese American), so I went there to get some tonkatsu (pork-cutlet). It was horrid. No Japanese chef would ever butcher Tonkatsu in such a disgraceful fashion. I'm bitter about non-Japanese people making terrible Japanese food and it was just that. I would never go back there again. I can't speak for other dishes, but I could just imagine. Oh, and I tasted whatever my wife was having and it was just as bad. Pros: Ambiance is not bad Cons: Food-not authentic more

The best in las vegas 5/22/2002

There are so many sushi bars in las vegas but, Osaka is the only one has the best sushi and other japanese foods. We go there every week and we are always pleased with their foods and services. You must try... more
