I have used several moving companies and this one is by far the best. They arrive at the scheduled time, take care to cover furniture to prevent damage and are very professional. I have never had anything in boxes broken even with me doing the packing of the boxes. Anytime I need movers, I will always use Orly:) more

It has been a long time since I have had to hire a mover. I picked Orly and hoped for the best. It was the best. They paid attention to every detail and treated the furniture like it was their own. Jesus and his team were friendly, polite and very professional. They did a great job moving our piano from the basement. Still not quite sure how they did it! I would highly recommend Orly and would use them again in a heartbeat. more

I hired 3 people to help me. I would have at least hoped that one would be easy to communicate with. The main guy was impossible to understand and therefore he had trouble understanding most of my requests. In addition one of the guys simply stood around and did nothing. Next I indicated to them, since I was moving to downtown Baltimore, that I didn't want my stuff just sitting on the street unattended. They kept repeating themselves sayings "its ok, its ok". Now I discovered that my mattress was dragged across on one side and my $120 mattress cover has 2 giant holes in it. Since I realized this after the 14 day grace period they are refusing to help me. Bonnie, who was very nice and assisted me upfront, turned out to not be so nice when I had an issue to deal with. Careless with your goods, non English speaking movers, and horrible customer service!! Look elsewhere!! Terrible moving company - I will never use them again, First, the movers disappeared for over an hour in the middle of my move (they are paid by the hour). Second, they never numbered my boxes (so very difficult to track if everything arrived or not!). More importantly, I asked them to be especially careful with a glass sculpture that was very special to me - after asking about a dozen times where my sculpture was - they showed me the pieces. Even worse was the customer service after the move. I had paid for insurance to cover up to $10,000 of damage. I filed the claim immediately for reimbursement for my shattered sculpture. I provided the store in Italy where I had originally bought it. I provided the web link to the exact same piece to replace the broken sculpture, and I let them come and take away the pieces as proof. They nickle and dimed me and offered me only a fraction of the replacement cost (for the exact same piece from the exact same store). In addition, they wouldn't call me back or email me back. I'm still waiting for resolution 2 months later without payment or reimbursement for the broken piece (despite the insurance). Do NOT use Orly - terrible movers and terrible customer service and the insurance that you pay for is worthless! more

I am very happy with Orly Movers. I move a lot due to work. After bad experiences with other big name moving companies, who found every possible way to jack up the price upon delivery, came a day late, or broke some of my items, I asked a bunch of friends for recommendations for a different moving company. Two different friends both recommended Orly Movers to me after having great experiences themselves. Well they gave me great advice. I have used Orly Movers 3 times over the past 4 years (2007-2011; all interstate moves) and my sister used them too in 2010. A total of 4 family moves over 4 years, all great. No problems. Very nice people! I worked with Tom in customer service, who helped me through all the contracts, quotes, and scheduling details. He either picked up the phone immediately or returned my call the same day. I appreciated that a lot because timing is everything with moving because of apartment leases ending and new leases starting, jobs ending/starting, etc. Everyone at Orly from the people on the phone to the moving staff respected my time, kept appointments, were very helpful, gave fair price quotes with no hidden fees or surprises on delivery, and great movers who helped me move items at the destination into the rooms I needed my stuff to be in. for example, I had some very heavy gym equipment and these movers moved stuff anywhere I needed it moved with no complaining or groaning. I have seen some of the same faces over the 4 moves. People who work for Orly are not fly by night students on spring break movers. Not that there is anything wrong with being a student trying to find work. My point is that these guys are professional movers that know what they are doing and they move stuff without breaking things, scratching walls and paint, or making a mess in the place. I have been very happy with our 4 Orly moves and will continue to use them in the future. more

I found Orly Moving Systems in the phone book. This was my first time using their services, so I was a little leery, but the lady told me they'd been in business for 20 years which made me feel better. It was a very professional move. They were on time which means a lot to me, because I'm a stickler for time! They asked me to point out exactly what needed to be taken. They were very careful and solidified the equipment and boxes with cardboard and tape, making sure everything stayed in place which I really appreciated. They moved things from the third floor, and did a really good job. I am planning on using them again when I'm ready to do a permanent move, this was only temporary. I was surprised! I don't know what I was expecting, but I was extremely satisfied with the results! more
