Pool Tables, Drinks and More 3/21/2006

Ok, this is one of the first places on the corner that I found when I settled into downtown life. This place has some good pool tables and some bad ones, so choose carefully. But, they do have some great drinks available and great service if the place isn't jammed back with people. But, if you can push your way into the bar, you will get served very quick. I haven't had any food at the place yet, so I can't say too much about that. more

Fun for games 3/21/2006

Orbit's really is a fun place to go with some friends. I thought their pool tables were ok, but I was really transfixed by the touch screen games they had. You can play photohunt for 50 cents, word games, and all kinds of other games for as little as 25 cents. This is a great place to go if you want to do more than sit and drink, but you aren't really into dancing. The games are fun and the drinks are reasonably priced. more

Orbit's 3/20/2006

Great appetizers, decent pool tables, and early drink specials. Orbits is a great place to go in the early evening for $2 beers and appetizers. I frequently go on Tuesday nights when ladies play pool for free. The tables aren't in the best shape, but there aren't many places to play pool in Charlottesville. Overall, Orbits has a good atmosphere, great drink specials and good, greasy appetizers. Get there early if you want to play pool though, the tables go quick! more
