I was a patient @ this office a few years ago and then when some where else. I called back because the office is close to my house. I love the new dentist. Dr. Wayne Sawicky was great. He explained the treatment and made sure that I understood it. I had a couple of fillings and it didn't hurt at all. The whole staff was nice and treated me as a person not a number. I had a tooth ache and the office got me the same day. Dr. Sawicky was very calming and just made me feel so comfortable. They fixed my tooth and made it a pleasant experience. I feel anyone that has been to this location before and had a bad visit, needs to give them a second chance. I will admit on my first visit I had issues with the dentist. But now they have a new dentist. HE IS FANTASTIC. I never was awake for an extraction and believe me , the first dentist told me it was a simple extraction. WRONG. This dentist knew I had a lot of stress but it needed to be done. He made me feel so at ease and explained to me every step of the way what prior and during the procedure, The shots he gave me were nearly painless. All the stress I felt was for nothing. Yes it was a tad strange in anticipation of pain but there was none. I say this was the best dentist I have ever been to. I went in with my husband and three children. They said three of us needed crowns on several teeth or else we would need root canals very soon. My children needed their teeth cleaned and all they did was brush with the paste and floss. No other cleaning was done! What a scam! Cons: They're just out to get your money more

I started taking my kids to Sunwest at the end of 2008. First, they would see my kids and the Dentist would never discuss with me what their findings were, the assistant would relay all the findings. Then I made an appt for a lost filling for myself. They poked everywhere possible trying to find pain, I had no pain anywhere, they said that I would need a Root Canal, I asked why when I didnt have any pain, they insisted that I needed a Root Canal. I called a different dentist and they said this did not sound right. I believe that they are scam artists and it as if I am trying to buy a car at a car dealership. They try to sell sell sell. They also have a $50.00 deductable popup every now and then saying I still owe it. One from 2007 and I ended up going to a different dentist then for different reasons, but they never did any work on me. Needless to say today is my last appointment with Sunwest Dental and I have learned to do my own research and not take other people's recommendations.
