I exclusively take orange cab from my home to SEATAC. I make this trip on average 3 times a month and have been doing so for 6 years (over that time leaving from Queen Anne, Ballard and now West Seattle). They have been late only once and normally turn up 5 mins early, but are happy to sit outside and wait on me before starting the meter. They're all nice folks and are great people to talk to. Never had a dirty car, never had a driver under the influence of anything and they have always been polite. more

I called for a taxi from my friends house because we had been out that night to a show and I didn't want to drive home. My Orange Cab driver picked me up, tried going the wrong/long way and then turned the meter off half way into my trip home and told me he was going to charge me a "flat rate" because it was a shorter trip. I asked what the heck that would be and it turns out it was going to cost me 3x the normal fare I pay for that ride. I said I wouldn't pay some "made-up" amount and he started yelling at me that he was giving me a great bargain! I had him pull over and let me out. I walked home from that point at 2:30 am. because it seemed safer than dealing with the aggressive driver from Orange Cab. I called the company the next day and they said they would talk with him. Saw some cab driver cut 2 drivers off at like more than 70! Just changed lanes and nearly killed someone. I think he had someone else in the cab with him as well. Check out the review at the BBB (http://www.thebbb.org/commonreport.html?bid=43000096). Doesn't exactly speak greatly about them. more

We thought we would save money on parking and have a cab pick us up from home and take us to the airport, so we called Orange Cab. We called more than 3 hours ahead of time, and were told without a doubt that a cab would arrive at the appointed time. After the cab was 20 minutes late, we finally called dispatch and got a very rude answer that there were "no guarantees" when a cab could come, and we simply didn't give enough lead time. Thanks to Orange Cab, we had no option other than racing to the airport and paying the inflated parking fees there. In my opinion, the service was pathetic, and no apology was offered; instead, we were treated with rudeness and attitude. I will never call them again. more

Not only do these drivers regularly show up on time, but they are generally polite, decent drivers, and willing to take directions. They have never stolen my credit card number, left me to chase after them after surgery, dropped me off at the wrong address, or failed to show up like other cab companies in town have. Also, they're more of a co-op kind of thing instead of a top-down company. Great drivers. more

What's to review about a cab company you ask? I use Orange Cab up to three times a week to get home from late nights at the office and grew up in a city where I frequently had to take cabs. Orange Cab's drivers are professional, friendly, and courteous. Unlike other cab experiences in other places, my driver has never been smelly, stoned, drunk, neurotic, or otherwise less than fit to drive himself let alone other people for a living. This is pretty much the highest compliment I can bestow on a cab company. Cabs usually show up within five to ten minutes of calling, although I've had to re-call on occasion.
