I have had Ontel Security working at my apartment complex for a few years now. When ever I call with issues or asking for extra coverage, its always taken care of in a professional manner. I have had Ontel assist me in making my complex a better place to live as the officers are fast to respond to our tenant calls when there are problems! I have a good repore with the guards and the office staff! I think their pricing is great and I enjoy having Ontel secring my complex! more

Let me first say that it is pretty obvious that the positive comments written hear were done by staff from Ontel, which is pretty pathetic to say the least. I hired 2 Ontel guards for a wedding reception that I hosted for my sister. I was promised well trained and professional officers, instead they sent me two 18 to 20 year kids that looked like they had slept in their uniforms, and didn't exactly impress me with their lack of maturity and know how. Anyway, as it turned out two of my guests had their cars broken into and stuff stolen out of it while these so called professionals were supposed to be watching the parking lot. I have also spoken to other friends of mine who own or manage businesses in town that have used Ontel over the last few years, and all of them have told me that this is pretty much what you get form Ontel when you hire them. My advice, look elsewhere if you need to hire a security company. more

We have been using Ontel for over 2 years. They are very professional and dependable. Before selecting them we did some research and they have a great reputation with law enforcement in the area and that was a big reason we selected them. I would recommend them hands down every time. Also note on the other comment. If you bothered to do some research they have a current PPO Number of 16206 and have had that one since they cancelled the other one. It appears there was a name change associated with the new PPO. more

I WITNESSED SEVERAL OCCASSIONS WHERE THIS COMPANY WAS IN COMPLETE VIOLATION ON THEIR CONTRACT AND FAILED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! Under the watchful eye of Ontel Security guards, 14 cars were broken into at Modesto High School on 12/27/07. Security guards, assigned only to the parking lots, were nowhere to be found when the vandalism and theft was discovered. Items stolen included ipods, golf clubs, cash and other valuables - and many cars had been rummaged through, indicating that the thieves had plenty of time. Ontel's response thus far has been to fail to return calls and to direct questions to their attorney's office, rather than to step up, admit a poorly done job and take care of the damages that were clearly the result of a complete failure to do the job they were paid for. more

Under the ""watcheful eye"" of 2 armed ontel security guards, 14 cars were vandalized and many items were stolen on 12/27 at Modesto Christian. Neither security guard stayed around to participate in the police reports - after all, it was cold and raining - and the damage had been done. Rumor has it that the guards spent much time inside, watching the game, even though they were specifically instructed to provide outside security. Multiple calls have been made to Ontel - to find out what happened, seeking some guidance on restitution. My calls went unreturned, and today, I was instructed to call Ontel's lawyer if I had questions. Ontel was paid to do a job - Ontel failed to do it - many people suffered a loss - Ontel's response? I had used several security agencies over the past several years with mixed results. I finally made contact with Ontel. I received a very professional proposal from the Asst. Chief of Security and in turn hired Ontel. I had received reports from my previous agencies with discriptions of individuals who commited crimes and got away. Within the first two weeks Ontel had arrested three individuals. How refreshing to come in and find an arrest report instead of a discription of who ripped me off. The officers who work for Ontel take pride in their appearance, work product and company. I would recommend this agency to anyone looking for a professional organization that takes pride in the security services industry.
