Once Upon A Child

I have purchased several great gently use items from once upon a child. If you are looking for garage sale prices you are coming to the wrong place, but you will find items for at least 50% off the retail price. I have purchased several Janie and Jack outfits for under $5.00. \r \r I don't understand how people complain about it nt being dirty cheap, it is a business with employees and rent to pay. Of course I enjoy buying things for as cheap as possible but I consider 50% savings on items I need a good deal in the long run.\r \r I can't speak about selling items because I haven't yet, but what they have told me you will get about 25% of what they sell the item for, not what you purchased it for. This excludes clothes which they said they usually give you 10cents to $2.00. You might make more selling your high priced clothes on eBay in my opinion.\r \r Overall I would highly recommend this store more

I went today to buys BOWS and they were locked up and moved.....so sorry...I like buying at that store.... more

My son and daughter in law purchased a high chair from Once Upon a Time several months ago. The high chair was not clean and had to be scoured before use. Recently they took the high chair back to sell, and were told the chair needed to be cleaned before it could be purchased. What a shame it wasn't clean when the store sold it. Once Upon A Child is really not interested in gently used clothes...they really only want unused clothes with the tags still on. Took a swing in to sell, motorized with music, etc. Worked fine but they told us something was wrong with it...but offered to take it off our hands for $18. This place is not amazing and it's not about helping people find more affordable options..it's all about the money/profit. What a surprise. Will never go there again and will encourage others not to. more

I think some of the used things are over priced...and i also think that the girls that were working were rude and not helpful, I will not return there anymore... more

I finally have gone to Once Upon a Child. It is a wonderful place to get used baby furniture at a reasonable price. They have a wide range of furniture that a new mother to be would need. They also have clothing for children up to 6x. The only problem is the parking is horrible. It is located in a very small strip center next to a widely know store. The salespeople are very helpful and will answer any questions you have. They do not accept checks, so you need a credit card or cash to buy things, but feel it is well worth the trip. more

This was the first resale shop I've ever been to...after seeing what toys for an infant cost, I figured there had to be a better way. At Once Upon a Child, the staff was very friendly and there was a great selection of gently used developmental toys and books. I was able to find peek-a-blocks, books, classic learning toys as well as other items. I also noticed that they carry cribs, bedding, and strollers which were selling for a fraction of the price all of mine were purchased for. more
