On The Square

My husband and I were visting Enfield for our anniversary from Cary. We were told if we wanted to have a fancy night out to either go to On the Square or David's. When I called to make reservations at David's the gentleman on the phone was rude so I chose On the Square instead. more

I have been here at least 20 times and it just keeps getting better and better. Definitely a hidden charm in Tarboro, NC. Pork Tenderloin is a great stand-by, but you can't go wrong with any of the menu choices--always fresh seafood, excellent cuts of meat, and often a few exotic options. They use a lot of local vegetables (and flowers!). Plates are as beautiful as they are tasty. Wonderful wine selection (2 wine experts--sommeliers??--are usually on site to answer any questions), awesome cocktails...But be prepared for the bill--pricey but SO worth it. Intimate atmosphere--great for a romantic date--but can get noisy!! Definitely recommend getting a reservation. Small, intimate dining space with interesting artwork that changes monthly. You can't go wrong with this out-of-the-way restaurant! With great food, drinks, and service On the Square is sure to become a favorite for everyone within an hour's drive of it.
