PTC cops charge woman with illegal Botox and hormone treatments Crime Peachtree City Friday, April 27, 2012 - 4:57pm Submitted by Cal Beverly Not just anybody can legally give you a shot of Botox to smooth out your wrinkles, as a woman allegedly doing that in Peachtree City found out Friday. Kristie M. Johnson was arrested April 27 and accused of practicing medicine without a license out of her business, Omni Medical, according to Public Information Officer Captain Rosanna Dove of the Peachtree City Police Department. Here’s how it went down: “On April 27, 2012, the Peachtree City Police Department, in coordination with the Douglasville Police Department, arrested Kristie M. Johnson, of Sandbar Cove, Winston, Ga., for six counts of practicing medicine without a license. “The investigation began on Feb. 9, 2012, when the Peachtree City Police Department, agents from the Composite Medical Board of Medical Examiners, and an agent from the Georgia Drug and Narcotics Division received information that Johnson was allegedly conducting illegal medical practices at Omni Medical, which is located at 2860 West Highway 54 Suite 200, Peachtree City, Ga. “After an investigation into the allegations, Johnson, the owner/operator of Omni Medical, was arrested in Douglasville, Ga. “It is alleged that she was providing treatments for Botox, hormone therapy, and other medical procedures without any medical license to do so. “If anyone has received medical treatment from this facility in the past you are urged to contact Sgt. Gary Meier at 770-487-8866 Ext. 1349.” Botox is a brand name for a diluted form of Botulinum toxin that is injected in people under a medical doctor’s care for cosmetic reasons, mainly to smooth out wrinkles. It also is used medically to treat muscle spasms, chronic migraine headaches, cerebral palsy-like diseases and other conditions. It has been used clinically since the 1980s. The toxin is the cause of botulism and in its pure state is one of the two most poisonous substances known to science, according to the Merck Index. more

While doing research fo Laser hair removal i found Omni Medical . I was considering using them until I found the owners picture on the website got busted for distributing a controlled substance. I don't think I will be using them for my Laser Hair removal. I live in the county and pray they are not selling drugs from this facility. Drugs are bad enough in Douglasville. more

Disappointed that they have not been open for a few weeks, but glad I got the call that they are back open. I really did like the girls in the office, and the girl who did my laser treatments was so sweet. more

Glad that I am starting back on my treatments with the omni medical center. I hate seeing these sad reviews that people keep writting. When I was there I really like the doctor. He took a lot of time with me and explained my treatment. I hate when people that say negative things could understand that there are people who want good doctor care, and I believe that my daughter and I have recieved it from the omni medical center. more

I find it interesting that some of these reviews were written during a period of time when Omni was out of business. A ghost writer perhaps, to generate positive press to cover up negative? Recently, I purchased a Groupon for 6 laser hair removal treatments. I have had 2 treatments and was supposed to go to the third last month. (by the way, the treatments didn't work) I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appt. to a locked door and dark office. They had closed their doors without even notifying me. Nice, right? Today, I called and FINALLY someone answered the phone and assured me that I would receive a call in the next few days to schedule an appt. Yeah, right. I will eat my shirt if I get a call. Oh and supposedly they have moved to Douglasville...45 minutes from their original location in Peachtree City. Don't bother with this place. An untrained monkey could do a better job of running a business. more

Glad I chose Omni for Botox. The doctor wasn't pushy like my derm is. He did a great job. Glad I chose this place. more

Recently bought a groupon deal for Laser hair removal. I have had 2 treatments and have several more to go. At this point, I don't even know if I need much more. Needless to say, I'm very please with my results. more

What a joke! This girl says she's a pa and she doesn't have any medical background at all. If you have had any service here I would go to a real dr and get checked out. look her up on https://services.georgia.gov/dch/mebs/jsp/index.jsp she doesn't exist. You can also file a complaint aganist this place on the website. No surprise she is closed for good. more

I bought a groupon as well as prepaid an extra $400 for more services - a total of $700. For the last 3 weeks, nobody has answered the phones, and on Monday I'm driving over there. I'm also planning to pursue legal action if they shut down. I am FURIOUS with all of this. The owners should be tarred and feathered. more

I bought a special online for Botox to use at Omni Medical Center. I am so thankful I didn't pass this deal up. I love the way the botox softened the lines on my forehead. When the doctor came in, he was very informative, and wasn't pushing me to do more botox since it was my first time. I was really impressed!! more

I've been going here since August and for the past three months they have either cancelled my appointments or not answered the phone. If they have closed and clearly taken my payments without completing my treatments, what can I do? Any ideas? more

Went for Botox which I have had many times. One side of my forehead did not take at all. The lady MD about killed me as well. Very poor technique and I am a nurse. Would not return phone calls or improve my customer satisfaction. They will NEVER make it. Stay away. more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I have tried to go here three different times in the last month, and even though I have appointments, when I show up, they will be closed. I never get a phone call in advance telling me not to come down, and they never call me after the appointment either. So three times now I've driven thirty minutes for an appointment that didn't happen. (Yes, I realize I probably should have gotten the hint after the first or second time! :) This last time, there was a sign on the door from Management asking the Locksmith to call them before changing the locks. I don't know what's going on with Omni, but they clearly have real problems running a business, and I wouldn't count on them to help you with anything. I went to them because I wanted to lose weight for my wedding. All I did was waste my time waiting on them. Save yourself the trouble and the hassle. OMNI is 100% NOT WORTH IT. more

Poor customer service. They don't answer phones or call to let clients know their systems are down so don't bother driving in. I waited over a week for them to contact me about a reschedule and then took matters in my own hands. Thank you Groupon for the refund. Lesson learned about this place. more
