DO NOT GO TO THIS BAKERY! 2/16/2011

I can fully understand pricing your food per it's quality. For instance, if the food is spectacular and the service is great, I am perfectly happy to pay more. What I cannot fathom is how the owner of this bakery has managed to be anywhere near successful? Nancy Revzen (owner) is all of the following: more

Overpriced baked goods, rude and unprofessional staff 8/22/2010

I have patronized Ollie's bakery before. On this vist, the woman behind the counter carried on a social conversation with the previous customer for almost 5 minutes while I waited to be served. more

Very RUDE! 6/2/2010

I was looking forward to trying this bakery; my expectations were too high! The impolite person (male) who begrudgingly took my order not only acted like he didn't want to be there but argued with me about my espresso drink. I ordered a dry-cappuccino with 2 shots of espresso. I know this place is suppose to be a bakery but if you offer espresso drinks you really should train a person on how to make drinks. Not only was it NOT dry (it barely had any foam in it), the milk was steamed way too hot. I asked him to make it over or have someone else do it and that's when the arguing began. He tried to tell me I wanted an Americano. After telling him nicely what an Americano was, he kept arguing with me until I said, ""just give me my money back"". He actually seem very happy to do so. Then he smirked and said, ""there you go, have a good day""! As I was leaving, a lady sitting down told me he was very rude to her as well. Tell your family and friends....DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! ps...the pastries aren't that good. He threw my fruit tart in a paper tray and then in a bag. I took a picture of it, it looked like the inside of a barf bag. Pros: Now I know not to go back... Cons: Worst customer service ever! more

best baked goods ever, friendly service, my favorite bakery in the world 10/10/2006

Ollie's Bakery is two and a half blocks from my office. They're a French-style bakery and their goods are to die for. They make breads and have sandwiches for lunch, as well as foccacia. In the morning, you can't go wrong with a muffin, scone, almond brioche toast, sticky bun, cream cheese brioche, or anything else they have. They also have an assortment of coffees and other beverages. In the afternoon they're selection expands to an array of tasty treats you normally won't find in the area. They do carry regular fare like brownies and huge chocolate chip cookies, but also have cakes, pastries, tarts, rugelach, bread pudding, honey walnut fig bars... you just never know what delectable delights you'll find. They're chocolate cake and cupcakes are to die for. The staff are always courteous and Connie will remember your name and what you like to order. Gordon, the owner, is a delightful gentleman, and is always up for a convo. The location is aesthetically pleasing, and you gotta love a place named in honor of a super doggie. Pros: everything Cons: closed on Mondays (when I get a bad craving for their sweets) more
