Good Place for Lunch 4/16/2006

The Olive Garden restaurant chain has a good standard of service and food quality, but this Olive Garden restaurant is way better than the standard. The food is great and is always served hot. The wait staff is there to get whatever you need, without giving you the feeling that you are being stared at or hovered over. They don't pick up dishes and ask you about the bill while you are chatting with other diners. Lots of free parking to the back of the restaurant. There can be a long wait on Friday and Saturday evenings. Lunchtime is always easy to find a table. more

Good Italian food 4/15/2006

It's no secret that the Olive Garden has good Italian food. I particularly love their salad with its signature dressing. I do sometimes wonder though what all the fuss is about Olive Garden - there's usually a wait for seating at dinner time, and the prices are somewhat high in my opinion. The restaurant is clean and nice with low lighting and a nice atmosphere, but in my opinion it's nothing all that special. The food tastes good, but again not especially outstanding. The service is good, but again, nothing exceptional. more
