Olive Garden In Kenner, Louisiana 1/13/2011

I have never been treated so badly by a hostess and manager in my life and I am over 50. We took our family to eat on Wed nite at olive garden had a party of 8 adults and 4 children was told the wait was 30 min. after 50 min. and 18 or more people were seated as well as parties of 6 was told it would be another 15 min. was ok with that after 15 min asked hostess how much longer she said if we did not like the wait we were more than welcome to leave. Call Manager over named Carl and he said he would see what was happing. And asked who was rude when we pointed this rude young lady out he said we must have misunderstood what she said.I do not think employees should be dating or taking up for someones bad behavior. We continue to wait another 30 min. then had enough we told another hostess we were leaving and handed the control back to her and she responded good. The manager stood there like an ass and just watched. Not only will I come back but I assure I will never give a gift certi. or recommend your restaurant to anyone again. We left went to Zea was welcome had an excellent waitress and gave $415.00 to this dinner than to the rudeness and ugly personal that you seen to attract. I wish you and your company a Happy New Year , what a way to start a new year. I feel very sorry for what and who you hire. more

Best of Chain 3/7/2003

Olive Garden has got to be one of the best chain restaurants going. I've enjoyed my last two visits almost as much as some of the fine dining establishments in New Orleans and Detroit. Good food, adequate friendly service . . . GOOD JOB! more

Italian Shoney's 11/16/2002

I cannot believe that this makes the top ten italian restaurants in the city. Maybe in Kenner. I could not eat my entree. Everything tastes like it comes out of a can or has been frozen for months. Save your money and open up a can of Spaghetti-o's at home. The free salad and breadsticks were nice though. Pros: Free Salad Cons: Low quality meat more

Not so spiffy 9/24/2002

  • In Short
Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.
