Old Towne

I am a renter of olde town> It may make a difference of what kind of tennant you are to how you are treated.. I have been here for 1 year so far and I love it.. I do pay my rent a week early every month. My town home was all painted and recarpeted prior to move in. New appliances also were put in. Since i have been here they replaces my front bay window with a new one. ttook 1 day to install and was done very professionally. I have had very little problems but when i called for maintainence they came the same day i called and did fix the problem. As for collette. . everyone seems to complain about her but she has been nothing but sweet to me and i really like her. Actually my daughter is moving into the plan next week and my other daughter is also moving in here soon .Neighborhood is great. lots of kids.i have great neighbors and we all look out for each other....just remember pay your rent on time and take care of the place...they will treat you right. i plan on living here for a long time...the townhomes are taken care of well...mine is very nice and my daughters is being painted as we speak...a very nice place to live more

When I read things like these, I imagine they are written by people mad they didn't get their security deposit back or something. but as I lived here, I can assure you that everything everyone has said is absolutely true. This business is a dump. From an outside eye, it looks very apealing. For their size and location, these townhomes are very resonably priced.. THERE IS A REASON for this. The biggest problem is the ""manager"" Collete. She is one of the rudest people I've ever encountered, and will say anything to cover her ass.. And she's the face of the business!!! That should say enough. But to go with this she never knows whats going with the units, doesn't remember conversations you would have with her the day before, or really care at all about the people in the community... To top it off she's also a complete BASKETCASE! I'm talking, looney toons crazy here. There were consistant problems the whole time I lived there. Everytime it rained more than a drizzle the basement would flood, which caused a never ending moist basement.. causing never ending moldy walls and destroyed items. Rain would come in doors and closed windows, and they did nothing to fix it. These are things that continue to just make the units worse and worse in the future. The furnace broke in February on a Saturday afternoon. We werent able to get someone to look at it until Wednesday after calling at least four times. They have an emergency number and it is the same number you would call to schedule to take a look at the apartment. It never gets checked. There are a lot more little things, trust me, I just don't feel like making this post even longer. Overall, if you want to spend your hard-earned money to be cold, moldy and berated, old towne's the place for you. If you want a place where you can live safely and comfortably, Look Somewhere Else. more

Unfortunately, what other former tenants have mentioned about this place is NOT exaggerated or lies. Its 100% the truth. This place is just awful! The management is far-far from being kind-instead there is just rude attitude for every single thing. Its next to impossible to get anything fixed or worked on and if you do, you are blamed for it and only after you pester management for several weeks! When you move out they-as others mentioned, try to wring your security deposit out of you by charging you for everything under the sun-even when there is NOT a problem. Side money making scheme...?? Hmm...I wonder! While the houses may look nice from the outside the location is wooded and rural, the homes are definitely falling apart. Its a ridiculous place. Save yourself the hassle, the stress and the resulting ulcers by going elsewhere! more

I was reading the other review written here by ""oldetownsucks"" and I have to fully agree with everything they said. Maintenance sucks - unless your basically a contractor and can fix your own place - don't plan on anything getting fixed - 1 guy maintenance guy was arrested while I was there for stealing stuff out of peoples apartments (it was in the local paper - olde town never admitted it). The office staff are totally rude - there was one nice girl and she didn't work there very long. The places are so old they are literally falling apart - all our windows leaked when it rained. I did receive my full security deposit back - but I took pictures when we gave the keys back so they probably just realized they couldn't screw me over. I joined this website solely to back up the last review and stop someone from making a huge mistake. They put money into making the outside look nice, new mailboxes, paving parking lots every year, new outside lights - but the insides are are so out-dated and run down. Do yourself a huge favor and RUN AWAY! more

I have rented apartments all of my life and have never had as many problems as I have had with Old Towne Apartments. The maintenance team is extremely slow to fix anything. Please don't let them in while you're not there, two of them have police records! Wish I would have known that before I moved in. There is maybe one person in the office that will assist you and actually not be completely rude. They will nickel and dime you when you move out so they don't have to give you any of your deposit back... TRUST ME ABOUT THAT ONE!!! The only person I would recommend this place to would be my worst enemy, only because I knew they would screw him/her over!!!! The apartments are very old and not updated. The heat and the A/C didn't work upstairs. I could go on and on. I hope whomever is reading this will learn from my mistake. DON'T RENT FROM OLD TOWNE. You can't say you haven't been warned.
