I adore Old Europe - it's a popular joint for locals and tourists alike. They have the best desserts, from fancy European things with many layers to delicious cookies. I have been told the coffee is also very good (I'm not a coffee drinker). The most fun thing to do here is to sit just outside the door at one of the tiny tables and watch the people go by. It *is* Asheville, so watch for the "freaks"! (Downtown Asheville is often called "Freakin' Asheville" for the proportionately large number of eclectic types who roam the streets.) Enjoy!
