We met this company at the Home & Garden Show and liked the fact that they are a local, family owned business. After an interview and checking the BBB we agreed to have a lot of work done, WHAT A MISTAKE! Our roof leaked after the first rain in April 2011 one month after the workers left, it still leaks and we still have not had any help from the company. They make appointments and either never show up or fail to follow-up. The only attempt to correct the gutters actually made the problem worse. Rain drains behind them and drips half way up the porch ceiling and through the vents. We have more problems than can be listed here. This morning was the final straw when it was raining in the living room damaging our door frame and wood floors. I phoned the owner’s son (again) who said he would be out after an office stop, five hours later, office is closed and no visit or call to explain or reschedule. You would expect a better response for a customer that has been dealing with problems for over six months. They do have good reviews so maybe they are okay for some home improvements, but beware of any roof, gutter, gutter-topper or insulation work. more

My wife wanted an estimate and I was not aware, they called to reschedule an appointment and I told them that I am sorry, but we are not looking for anything at the moment and Mark told me ""well apparently your wife did"" and hung up the phone. I called back confused by what just happened and I said hey Mark we want to keep someone in mind in case we do need some work. In mid sentence I was cut off and told I did not want to have business done by me again, from Mark. He said don't call back again and hung up. more

Ohio Builder did my windows. I have to admit I was not super into the idea at first. I wanted something that would make a bigger impact on the outside of my house. But we knew we really truly did need new windows, so we made the ""responsible"" decision and went with the replacement windows. I am VERY pleased. I cannot believe how they changed the look of my house! I did not realize how much my old windows dated our house. Thanks Guys....shout out to Donna for the great financing provided! more

After 3 years of small repairs to my old (new to me) home, by myself, it was time for some professional help. I wanted to update the look of my home and I was referred to Ohio Builder Resoures by a friend. The salesman that came out did a wonderful job and made me feel very comfortable. The crew that came out was very polite and did a great job cleaning up after the job was done. My house looks amazing! I couldnt believe what a differance the windows made!! Can't pay employees, look at attorney generals site, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. HAVE TEENAGERS GO DOOR TO DOOR......VERY SHADY. Pros: Professional, on time more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! THEY ARE CROOKED AND THEY ARE DISHONEST!!!! We were approached at Sam's Club. We were told that they would come out and do an estimate (about 45 minutes) The man was at our home for more than 3 hours. We had to put $900 down and we were told that if we did not get financed they would contact us. But if we did not hear anything the job would start in 5 weeks. After 6 weeks and hearing nothing, I called to see when the job would start and was told that we were not able to get financed, however, they still had my $900. I have called 4 times and every time- ""the check has been cut and mailed"" We will probably have to take them to court to get our money back. If I would not have called to check on when they were coming, I would not have known that we did not get financed and they probably would have tried to keep my money. They are crooks. I will put a new post on and let you know when I received my money back and how long it took. As of now it has been 4 weeks, and I know that it takes 2 days for mail to get any where in Ohio when mailed in Ohio. I recently bought windows from them and I am really happy. The salesman that came to my house was so nice and very patient with me. I am a single woman and he made me feel comfortable with all the features. I am only replacing half the windows in my house right now but will definitely use them next year for the other half. I got replacement windows from Ohio Builder Resources and could not have asked for anything more. The windows look awesome and the whole process went smooth. I used the companies financing, although I was not sure if I would be approved at first, but I was and the payments are much more reasonable than I had expected. in the past 12 months this companies checks have bounced a number of times and today they didnt even pay any of there employees not a sound company and one to stay away from. Cons: They cant even make payroll more
