Editorial review from Citysearch 10/27/2014

Oct2014, several large trees from my neighbors yard came down on our driveway. We took care of cleaning it up but identified several other trees from my neighbors yard that needed to be removed so as not to have another problem. My neighbor hired Odd Jobs Tree Specialist, Inc. They requested to use our driveway to remove these large trees, our concern was we did not want a crane being used on our asphalt driveway. I personally spoke with Tony, told him I did not want a crane , or a boom crane on the driveway, he said fine he would bring in a bobcat and small dump truck. He contacted my neighbor who by the way was paying for the work and it was scheduled for Tuesday. They then called my neighbor Monday AM and requested to do the job that day. Tony did come and ring my doorbell and told me all the work was going to be done by hand, I reiterated that the "" bobcat and dump truck"" as we had discussed needed to remain on the driveway not off of it as it had irrigation lines, power etc on either side of the driveway, he conveniently never mentioned that he a crane waiting at the bottom of the hill.. My driveway is 1000 ft off the street and where he was working was not visible from my house. An hour later I drove down to check out what was happening and was shocked to find a crane/truck without any protection pads on the driveway, a dump truck with chipper, another large truck and about 6 men working, NOT AT ALL what we discussed or agreed to, ( check out his you tube dated9/23/2011 that says "" we say what we are going to do and we do what we say"", NOT TRUE). They were told to leave! more

Excellent, friendly service 2/2/2011

We've used this company twice to remove trees from our yard and to trim our large willow oak. The first time, I was concerned about the fact that the huge, dead pine tree that needed to be removed was right by our privacy fence. But they removed the tree without damaging the fence at all. It was like it had been magically plucked from our yard by the tree fairy. The most recent time we used them, we were on a tight timeline due to demands from our home insurance company. Tony was very accommodating and got the job moved up to fit our deadline. They did a very neat job of trimming the tree. They clean up so well that the absence of the tree or the limbs is the only sign they have even been there. Plus the office staff is friendly and efficient, and their prices are reasonable. I could not be happier with their service. more

Great Job & Great Prices 9/15/2008

We used The Odd Job at our townhome complex & were perfectly happy with them. We needed 2 small trees taken down that were on the city's ""accepted removal"" lists & 1 pecan tree & 1 oak tree looked at & trimmed. They came out promptly to provide an estimate.\r \r We didn't get anything in writing (just a phone call) & they didn't give really thorough details about the condition of the trees like some of the other companies I called (I called about 5 or 6), but they let us know what we needed to know & gave the most reasonable prices around. Mainly, they were prompt, cut everything back really nicely, didn't leave a mess of any sort & were really really well priced. Pros: price Cons: weren't as thorough as most arborists w/ details more

Best In Town, - Great Customer Service Great Value Great Clean up 8/11/2008

We are new to Atlanta and called Odd Job for a tree removal. The service was GREAT. They came when they said they would. The salesman was a Certified Arborist and explained everything to us. We were not pushed into cutting down our trees. They recycle their woodchips and donate them to local school and churches. The value was great. We go 5 bids and theirs was the lowest. Great Company Great Value !! Pros: Great Customer Service more

Odd Job Tree Specialists 7/29/2008

I had the Odd Job Tree Specialists come over for a dead tree removal in my front yard.\r A specialist came over to give an estimate. We scheduled the tree removal for the next week.\r On the scheduled day, nobody showed up. I called their office and the secretary did not even find my name on their job list.\r She said we needed a city permit to have the tree removed. In almost 3 weks, I have called twice and she always says that the permit hasn't arrived yet.\r They never bother to call me and let me know what's going. No communication with the client at all.\r I called this company because of the good reviews on-line, but at this point I believe that the reviews are wrong.\r I do not recommend this company at all.\r If you want to deal with a truly professional company, try to find someone else.\r more
