Occasions Party & Tent Rentals

I want to THANK OCCASIONS and their staff so much for making our special day a success. They were truly amazing during this entire planning process for our wedding. Words cannot express how appreciative we are too you. The event was flawless and truly exceeded our expectations. The decorations were more beautiful than expected, they are truly skilled and talented. I can not wait to use their services again for something else. Occasions was good to work with! They came in, set up the tent, and quickly corrected our order right away for different color table cloths. Rebecca came by and delivered the corrected ones herself and her recommendations were excellent. The workers were always busy setting up the tent throughout the morning and got there extra early which made it easier to decorate that afternoon. She allowed us to borrow napkins of the colors we had chosen to match our decorations throughout the planning process. Overall, it was a good experience! more

Occasions delivered on time (in fact, little early) and set up was a cinch. She worked with me on finalizing my rental order and was very patient with all my changes! The tent was beautiful; the colors she recommended were beautiful! Thanks, Rebecca! Job well done! more

Tension began with Occasions Party & Tent Rentals when members of Rebecca's crew had to be asked to refrain from the use of profane and vulgar language in the presence of other vendors present to set up for my wedding (this includes female family friends who had volunteered to do flowers). At one point during the first day of set up there was an individual of her team that took a nap on the ground for part of the afternoon. We paid extra for all rentals to be set up by Occasions and save us the hassle but some were delivered so late on the day of the wedding that we had to complete it ourselves. Rebecca did not seem the least bit bothered by the fact that members of my family were literally running in between her late delivery van and the ceremony site to get chairs up AS GUESTS WERE ARRIVING! When the full number of our needed chairs were never delivered on my wedding day we decided to take our own inventory based on her invoice that was PAID IN FULL and discovered that not only the chairs were short by almost HALF (some of which were plastic when we had paid the higher price for wood), the dance floor was short, the staging was short, the linens were short, and the three sections of the tent were mix-matched (one section of the tent permitted light and the other two sections did not- sadly this is evident in my wedding pictures). \r \r It was obvious that Rebecca had decided to prioritize her customers and lease the items I had reserved for months for an event occurring simultaneously at Pitt Memorial Hospital. Mine was a very large wedding and she should have better managed her time when deciding to overbook in the way that she did. It seemed reasonable to request a refund for the items that were never delivered and for the set-up fee but shockingly Rebecca was completely unapologetic and unaccommodating. Among her many rude comments on the defensive was ""the event went off well didn't it?"" ... but this was IN SPITE OF her rather than the least bit BECAUSE OF her. \r \r Rebecca added an immense amount of stress to an otherwise joyful day. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? I am still astonished that some services were simply never delivered THEN never refunded and the audacity of Rebecca to act as if there was no issue. In hindsight and word of mouth, we have learned from several others who know Rebecca well that she is a very difficult person in general ... I wish I had known this before selecting Occasions for my wedding!\r more

Do Not Use them. You will be disappointed! more

Occasions is a great party supply company & florist. They will go above and beyond for your event. I got quotes and met with other companies, and Occasions is the best choice and best price! They cam out WAY less than other estimates and included more services! Rebecca & company did our wedding supplies, flowers, and some decor. They were organized and efficient. They came up with a plan that fit my wedding and space, instead of just adding on everything I thought I needed. They were honest and helped me evaluate what was actually needed. Their supplies are stylish and up-to-date...no leftover 80's colors or chipped pieces. They flowers were perfect! And when we realized I'd only ordered boutineers for the groomsmen and not the ushers, Rebecca wiped some up the day of. They are amazing & professional, and I would recommend this company to anyone! more
