RECEIVED WRONG DRESS & RUDE GENERAL MANAGER!! We drove from out of state just to have my wedding dress cleaned and preserved at Oakwood Cleaners. Through a few people, we heard great things about this place, and wanted to make sure my dress was handled professionally and did not want to take our chances. I dropped off the dress, and they made my mom pay for everything in advanced...fine, not a problem. A few weeks later, they called to say the dress was ready for pick-up. Because it would be a while before we could get up there. Tim, the general manager, kept giving us the run around insisting it would be too expensive. I told him I wanted a quote regardless. After several phone calls, we never received a quote and decided to have them hold it until my mom could come pick it up. She picked it up in June and they carried it to her car. This past Monday (4 months later) we opened the box to find they gave us the WRONG dress!!!!!!!!!! What if we had waited 20 years to open the box, or even 1 year?!?!?! Alicia, the ... MANAGER!! Alicia, the customer service manager, was more than pleasant to work with, and was just as shocked and horrified as I was. The gm Tim, on the other hand, was a rude, pompous jerk and treated my mom and I like he was doing us a huge favor by fixing his problem. We asked to have it overnighted, which they did, but not without him acting like he was going out of his way to do so. We also asked for a refund for the preservation of the dress and he said no. TIM IS A JERK!!! Their quality of work is good, but based on their lack of good customer service and professionalism, I would NOT recommend this place. If you do take your wedding dress there, MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THAT IT ACTUALLY IS YOUR DRESS
