I was a bit surprised when I read the last review. I have been bringing my teens to Oakland Vision for the past four years, and have not had any issues. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The office has been recently expanded and redecorated. I found the Dr very informative, polite, and very professional, at no time did he try to sell me a service that I didn't want or need. I have been to this office twice for myself. The only problem that I have experienced was with the anti-reflective glaze on my glasses, this is the labs fault not the fault of Oakland Vision. When I called to find out when my glasses would be ready after being sent back to the lab they told me that they would call the lab and find out what was going on. Imagine my surprise when they called me back within five minutes. It was explained to me that when the lab tested my lenses there was still a problem and that they were re-doing them and that they should be ready by Monday. I find that there customer service is fantastic and have no complaints. The problems that I experienced were the fault of the lab, not there""s . I would recommend Oakland Vision to anyone who wants great service and an affordable pair of glasses. more

I went to Oakland Vision because they are local.\r This is my second pair of glasses from them.\r They sold me a sample pair four years ago, I did not go back and complain. I let it go.\r But when last month I went in to get a new pair, I told the technician that I want a brand new pair.\r She put the old pair in an envelope and I thought that was a bit weird.\r I remember this pair because the frame was a bit bent near the ear on my left side.\r When they called me a few days later, I came in to find they had sold me the sample, again!\r I told them I did not want the sample, and after what seemed like forever, Lisa, who was processing my payment said fine, we will order you a new pair. About two weeks maybe three pass and I called in again and finally Becky says, no I don't have an order for a new pair, I'll order it now.\r At this time I am thinking, what about time. When I had my eyes checked. The doctor had kept me waiting while he saw another patient, it was an unusually long wait. He almost demanded that I take this new test telling me how much the machine costs to rent. He has all of these charges but when I ask the ladies up front for a monetary compensation for the time I spent coming and going to get my ""new"" pair of glasses which should have been done from the get go.... \r the ladies take my info, and tell me someone will be calling me back and then ""nothing"".\r So, I rate them as low as you can in customer service and goods.\r You don't sell a person a sample wtihout telling them! Dr. weiser did not teach Dr. Roger B. Haag while in optometry school. Patients have been telling Dr. Haag this story since 1981, when Dr. Haag came to South Lyon, to continue the deceased Dr. Pennell's practice. Dr. Haag has never endorsed or approved the story. I am surprised now that all the other optometrists that have come to town many years later, are also included in the statement that "taught all the optometrists in town". It is time to end the attempt to appear superior to all the optometrists in town. more

Patients have been telling Dr. Haag this story since 1981, when Dr. Haag came to South Lyon, to continue the deceased Dr. Pennell's practice. Dr. Haag has never endorsed or approved the story. I visited the facility this evening and observed Tina, Rebecca and Dr. Stein enteracting with customers to a high degree, educating them on the latest vision technology and products available. I would highly recommend this location for the outstanding customer service provided and amount of available lenses. You won't be dissappointed!!! Office is great. Very clean and sterile. Great vast selection of eyewear in office. Doctor Weiser is very nice, very informative. Trained all other optometrists in town. Receptionists are not quite as friendly. Tina is great, will mention and give you coupon savings. Other receptionists are a bit curt and rude. Don't like to deal with them. more
