Bar vs club 7/17/2009

This place is a really more of a bar there is no club action - AT ALL!! I guess I would liken it to an upscale "Cheers". Lots of regulars and great drink specials. The piano player is a nice guy, very personable, and probably generates most of the business there. However, to be labeled a club one would think that there is a DJ or a least Top 20 music piping throughout - not so much. All in all don't go here expecting to shake it up. Piano, Martini's, Woman, what a combination, finaly I feel like I discovered the one place I have been searching for that truly meets my expectations in all catagories. "YAHOO" I will be there every chance I get. But beware ladies I am wealthy and good looking and alot of fun, not to mention modess so please if I tap you on the shoulder or ask you to dance, lets enjoy the evening at the Oak. Awesome place, great drinks, great entertainment 5/3/2009

Great ambience, classy, nice crowd, good martinis and Eddy is a great entertainer. Reasonable prices for this type of upscale venue. If you are in Tampa, this is a must place to visit. Pros: Best night club in Tampa Cons: I can't go every weekend! more

I was at The Oak Room for the westachase pub crawl and it was fantastic! Great service and hot women. The guy on the piano was awesome more

Manhattan or Westchase? 12/21/2007

The answer is Westchase. The Oak Room would have you believe that it is in Manhattan based on the prices of their drinks. Definitley not your neighborhood bar by any means. You could go in there everyday and still not receive one drink "on the house". I will say the waitresses our beautiful and service is usually pretty good. But hell, for these prices they should be escorting you to the bathrooms as well. more
