O C Auto Sound

I took my car in to upgrade the power wires from 8 gauge to 4 gauge to power my 2 highend amplifiers. Supposely, the correct way to wire the amps is to run separate power wire to each amps. Instead, they wired a 4 gauge wire to a fuse splitter and from the splitter wired 8 gauge wire to my other 2 amps. My subwoofer sound much worst than before due to lack of current. I told them it is not the correct way to wire the 2 amplifier like this. Not only that they put the fuse near the amp (which is a total NO NO!). The fuse should be near the battery, not the amp. I was so disappointed I told them just give me a 15 foot 4 gauge power wire and I will wired it myself. Not only did they took my money for the initial installation, they want me to pay for the 15 foot power. I was so angry I walk out and promise never to return to this unknowledable, unprofessional place again.\r PS - I went to Frys and bought Monster Cable 4 Gauge power wire and did it myself. I just got the sound system of my dreams at OC Auto Sound. I am so totally satisfied. I got it at a good price and they were so nice and appreciative of my business. I spent $950.00 out the door and was treated like I spent $10,000. I got new 22 inch rims/tires as well as a new head unit and Kicker amp and 4 speakers. The price on the rims installed was the best I came accross. My Honda now looks great but also sound great too. Very nice people to deal with at OC Auto Sound. They speak fluent spanish so my Aunt was able to get her Neon tinted there as well. Good store and service. I was looking for tints for my newly bought car, so i decided to stop by OC Autosound since it was just right around the corner from my friends house. The salesman, or ""owner"" as he claims, told me he would hook up the tints for $160 instead of the $180 he normally charges, so i went for the deal. The man advised me it would take 2hrs to install. Instead of 2 hours he took 6 hours. Days passed by and i noticed i had air bubbles on my back window, so i took it back. The ""owner"" told me the window tint installer has the day off and was not going to be in that day, so i came back the next day to be told he had an emergency and would not be able to come in that day and was told he was going to be there the next week. Sure enough, i go in next week and he is still not there, even though i was told he was for sure going to be there. Well at least i got my window fixed, right? well, the fixed tints only lasted two weeks until one big air bubble appeared. Once again i took my car back. This time i spoke with a different window tint installer, and said he would fix it, but just had to advise his boss. Sure enough the ""owner"" came out and told me the window installer was not there. I told the ""owner"" that i just spoke with the window installer and Guess What? In order to get my window fixed, it has to be the same guy or i would get charged extra. Once he saw i got mad, he tried to explain the situation, but i knew it was just pure B.S.!\r On top of this, i later found out that a co-worker of mine went to the same spot to get his windows tinted. Sure enough, his back window tint was peeling. He decided to go to a shop out in Garden Grove where they fixed it correctly.\r I wouldn't recommend this shop for anything, whether it deals with car audio or window tints, they will screw you over.\r PS\r This happened to me with the NEW OWNERS OF OC AUTOSOUND!! more

After going to many stereo shop in Orange County and basically being jerked around, I just happened to stop by OC Auto Sound in Fountain Valley. They were nice and decent to deal with. No price games. No trying to switch me into equipment I didn't want. I told them what I was looking for (a complete audio-video system w navigation) and they delivered and installed the system promptly and at a very reasonable price. I would refer anyone looking to spend your hard earned money to check them out. You will be a happy customer like me. \r \r Every other stereo shop I had gone to tried to rip me off. OC Auto Sound was direct, honest and delivered what I wanted on time. Great location, beautiful store, and knowlegable staff and installers. Good and honest pricing. Fast and professional installation. There are many stereo shops in Fountain Valley and I have been to them all. But OC Auto Sound provided the best environment and no pressure selling. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality audio system at a decent price. I also had them tint my 04 Honda Accord as well. I highly recommend OC Auto Sound. I met the new owners in last week of December 2006 and purchased a complete audio/media system from them. Their price was more than fair and they did a excellent install including all the headrest monitors. They look like a factory installation. I am a very satisfied customer and will be a repeat customer in 2007. New owners are a refreshing change and do business in a fair and direct manner. more

They have promised in writing a job for $350 OUT THE DOOR! and then later they jack up the price charging a 5% ""Shop Charge"". After the car was halfway done. they decided to charge me for another $100 telling me i need a ""module"" in order to complete the job. since the car was already halfway done i had no other choice but to pay $100 for them to complete the job. I have invoice in writing for $350. but i end up paying $500!!! plus they install the wrong alarm and tole me to comeback another day..... to finish, i ask for my money back and they would not give me a refund Cons: everything! more
