I am having a terrible time. i think ive been going here about 20 years. I saw dr nyquist once. the rest of the time has been through various nurse practitioner. my mom was in hospital so I changed my apt to earlier and the girl said this will take the place of this other appt. I said yes. next thing I kno I'm being charged for a missed appt. I wrote that this was their mistake not mine and I don't want to see this bill again and I won't be coming back. they are spiteful. I receive my drugs from their office so they cancelled my remaining drugs before I can get in to see someone. I am owed another month of drugs. I'm going to call ama about this. they should be sued RUN AWAY. in addition all Dr Nyquist did was ask me if I've been on anything before in the past and he gave me same thing. BIgDeal. more

I am being treated currently at doctor Nyquist office. I have loved it from the start I felt like he really took his time on understanding the root and dynamics of my conditions, he explained the reasons behind the medications he recommends, we discussed at length my concerns and felt very aware of the reasons and understood. I felt as if he was working to medicate me as a team with me than just throwing pills at me as I have felt in the past. I have worked with his nurse practitioner and was impressed with the cohesive role she and the doctor had about our plans. I felt she was well versed in my case and there was no need to feel like i had to explain myself again, which has been frustrating at other clinics. My mediations are cheaper to be filled there then at Walgreen which i love. The front office staff is helpful, kind, and courteous. I would recommend them to anyone. I have no clue what those negative people are talking about it sounds like a whole different office. more

I met Dr Nyquist today. Prior to my appt I started looking at reviews on him. They were all negative... Not one positive. My experience was polar opposite of every review I read. As a first time patient he spent a lot of time with me and asked very good questions to help him in my diagnosis. He was kind and caring. He spoke to me on a level that I could understand and explained everything in detail. He did not try to over medicate me in any way nor did he try to give me meds that I didn't want. He personally selected a therapist in his office that he felt could help me best and that I could connect and build trust with. Leaving his office I felt as if I had hope and a plan of action to help me get better. I would recommend him and will continue to seek his care for my depression. more

Dr Nyquist is a horrible doctor. He is rude and uncaring and only pumps the prescriptions in the patients that he gets kick backs from the pharmaceutical companies. His staff is rude and abrasive and they double charge your credit cards and will not refund the money. CROOKS and SCAMS more

WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD AT A DOCTORS OFFICE!!!! 9/13/2011

I made an appointment over the phone to see Dr Nyquist, whom I was referred to though my regular doctor. My biggest mistake was not reading the reviews on this office before I made my appointment because I would have been saved from this TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. ALL of the reviews on here are dead on- DO NOT waste your time unless you want to be treated like a piece of crap! more

Worst Experience Ever!!!!! 1/26/2010

Worst doctor experience I've ever had!!!! Dr. McCoy is a real jerk and Connie at the desk is a lying dumbass!! They are only concerned with getting money, and do not care about the patients!! I've never been so irate and upset from a discussion with a doctor! I was in tears! Make sure you cancel your appointment with 24 hours notice, or they charge you $100 (even though Connie at the desk doesn't let you know that policy and lies so that her ass doesn't get chewed out and the patient has to pay $100!!) Pros: Absolutely Nothing!!! Cons: Rude Staff, Rude Doctor! more

Terrible office staff. 5/24/2008

I had read the previous review, but hoped it was just a rare bad experience. Unfortunately, the previous review is mostly true. I had an initial appt with Dr. Nyquist. I thought he was terrific and truly helpful. Even though he requested I come back to him, the office staff said he was booked and I would see the NP. I have seen him (the NP) twice. He is an ok guy, but I am going to find another pyschiatrist due to the treatment I get from the office staff and their outright refusal to help with insurance issues. They now send out a note saying they won't speak with insurance or pharmacies because ""The insurance companies do not provide payment for this service."" I just needed the dr to change the way he wrote the prescription (20 mg pills instead of 2 10mg a day) but there is no way to leave a voicemail or speak with the doctor. It's sad when you go somewhere for help and the supposed ""help"" is rude and belilttling. Even though I thought Nyquist was worth the month long wait to get an appointment, I cannot recommend this office. more
