Worst

Go here if you want an uneven bad hair cut! I told Orly that it was uneven but she did nothing. I did not even get my hair shampooed. You get what you pay for. CHEAP bad hair cuts...

Mehri = WOW!!!!!! 4/1/2008

Iwalked in to the salon two weeks ago andi was looking for any one to color,highlight and cut my hair.i saw Mehri and i liked her . she did a amazing job. she did a very beautiful layer cut and highlight . it was exactly what I had in mind. my hair color matches with my highlight perfectly.For the past two years i have been strugling with my hair style and color, but since i found mehri, i am not worried any more.Thak you mehri you change my looks. more

#1 hairdresser in the world/ seriously life changing!!! 12/3/2007

Lynn- I just wanted to thank you so so so much for making me feel beautiful again and ""back on the market."" I just recenently got divorced from my husband of 15 years and decided I needed a change. So along with everything else in my life i decided to try out a new hairdresser to go along with my new look. Lynn put extentions in my hair and colored it. I walked out of their feeling like a million bucks. Lynn you really have changed my life and given me the new found confidence to see the beauty on both the inside and out. thank you so much and i will definitley be a new client of yours!!!! Lynn's the best 11/25/2007

I've done my own color and had it done by other people who didn't know what they were doing - when I went to Lynn, she not only fixed my color, but she also recommended extentions...that was 3 years ago and I still get complements. I am also able to go from blonde to red back to blonde again without damage to my own hair or my extentions. I also needed styling suggestions and she showed me how to style it without having to go every week. She won't reccomend anything that she feels would hurt my hair...that's what keeps me coming back. Orli is unbelievable!!!!!!!! 11/9/2007

... Last week was our 12th anniversary, I left office early to take my wonderful wife, Sarah to dinner at her favorite restaurant called PATS in LA. She had her hair done for the occasion and she looked absolutely gorgeous, unbelievable!!! I couldn?t take my eyes off her hair all night, and by desert time I just couldn?t contain myself any longer and had to pop the 64,000 dollar question and ask her where she went for her hair? Let me 1st start off by saying i am very very picky when it comes to picking a hair salon, since i believe your hair says a lot about you. I was introduced to ny to la by another friend who had gone to Orly for her hair cut and highlights. So i though i should try it out for myself and see what happens. I went for my hair extension, and eye lash extension!! I can not telll you what an amazing job she did. Friends thats know me forever couldnt notice that i had gotten hair extension it looked soo real! Orly was soo nice about it she even came with me to buy the extensions, so i wouldn't pick out the wrong ones!! As for the eye lash extension it made my eyes look so big since generally i have really small eyes. All in all i would tell you this was a great experience! Pros: Very good at what she does. absolutly no worries more

Wonderful service and expertise by ORLI at NY2LA 11/5/2007

Let me tell you a little about NY2 LA, I have been going to the most famous salons and they didn't do the job that I wanted. But my friend told me about NY2LA in Tarzana and she particularly recommended her favorite hair stylist, ORLI. Then I tried it out and got the job I always wanted, and the price was great. I totally recommend Orli at the NY2LA. I come all the way from West LA to get my hair done by Orli. I allow her full freedom and I am always happier, prettier and feel sexier when I leave! TRY IT OUT, YOU WILL NEVER WANT TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE more

A total makeover hair style! 9/28/2007

Iv'e read the reviews on this site before and b/c of how happy the clients seemed, I figured I'd give it a try...I called the salon and spoke to Lynn, I explained I needed a cut and some serious highlights, so she suggested I bring a picture in so she knew exactly what I was expecting...and if I didnt know we'd discuss it when I came in...Lynn made me feel very comfortable and took time to make sure she understood what I was looking for....When I left I was more then happy with my new cut and color b/c it was exactly what I wanted...I was also surprised at the end of the appointment b/c Lynn showed me how to keep up the style she had given me, and I've never recieved that treatment before...I am now a regular customer of Lynn's and really enjoy my appointments at NY2LA...they also give mani's and pedi's for those interested! more

About average 8/7/2007

After reading the reviews on city search, I went to NY2LA expecting really great things. I got an OK haircut - I have had worse but it wasn't anything like any of the other reviews. Lynn in enjoyable to be around but she seems to lack the confidence to give a really great cut. She doesn't input anything in regards to what she thinks would suit your hair type and as a result when you walk out you either have the same hairstyle or something that requires a lot of maintanence. I will probably go back to Lynn as the price was good and I am hoping that I just caugt her on a bad day. Pros: There are very few clients so getting an appointment is easy! more

Tara Sugarman...the best colorist and hair designer in town 7/17/2007

My family and I have been clients of Tara Sugarman's for over three years. She has worked her magic with haircolor in the film industry and just recently moved to this great salon (lucky for us!). Tara listens to me and is creative in her approach and execution. I am always thrilled with my results and receive complements on my hair everyday. Her expertise in color and hair design is fantastic because she creates individual styles that work best for you. My teenage boys love going to her because she keeps up with all the new trends and always creates great styles for them. I would highly recommend Tara Sugarman to everyone as she is a great girl and a pleasure to be around. Pros: Expert haircolorist and hair cutter. Creative and fun to be around. more

Best stylist around town to be found! 6/29/2007

Lynn is the owner of this shop and has done absolutely fantastic things with my hair. I showed up there with a really bad cut that had started to grow out and was confused as to what I needed done. Lynn transformed my hair from frumpy to frisky! What a dramatic difference! She is an astounding wizard with those shears! Not only that but she is friendly, warm and a real sweetie! Pros: Great haircuts, flexible schedule, free parking, comfortable atmosphere Cons: None that I can think of more

Best quality highlights that I have found in LA! 3/4/2007

I have been to NY2LA several times now and I have been extremely happy about the results! Lynn is wonderful with highlights! Unlike most salons I have tried, she takes no short cuts and gets very close to the roots so you don't have to keep coming back so frequently. She also has given me excellent cuts and her prices are very reasonable. She even did a fantastic job cutting my 2 year old's hair. I was very impressed!! I highly recommend Lynn! more

Best Hair Cut Value on the Blvd! 2/28/2007

I am a guy, but I am still fanatical about my hair - I don't have a lot of time to spend a lot of time on it, but I need a great cut that falls into place with little work. Friends recommended NY2LA owner Lynn and she was fantastic! She instantly put me at ease, making me feel comfortable and confident that she knew what she was doing. My hair turned out great and grew-in even better. I've been to Lynn several times now and she has convinced me to add highlights, which look great AND natural (not always the case for a guy) and to get my eyebrows shaped and colored. I never thought I would do this, but it has really given me a much brighter, open eyed look! I completely trust Lynn and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a hairstylist that knows how to pick a great look for any type hair! More then a cut above the rest! 4/25/2006

Im from New York and when I had walked into the salon I was greeted with friendliness that just made it that more comfortable for me being in this city far from home. I had the owner Lynn put extentions in my hair for my senior picture that i had taken in June as well as highlights and a hair cut. My hair came out beautiful and made my picture look that much better. I was in love with my hair and would recommend NY2LA to anyone because even if you dont want a color or cut Im sure that if you walk in that salon they'll make sure you walk out looking atleast 10 times better. I am happy to say that I am a very satisfied customer and intend on going back to the salon when I visit California in the future. Pros: friendly attitude, affordable prices, great skills more

The Best Thing to hit LA in a LONG TIME! 2/5/2006

I saw the reviews and have been looking for a salon for myself and my family for quite a while now. The reviews were right on TARGET! She not only cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it, she managed to cut my 11 year old's son so that he actually LIKES to do his hair in the mroning! Now we just need to get my boyfriend in!
