I originally purchased 4 Nitto Crosstek tires from NTB off 35 in Round Rock about 1 year ago. Since then the inside of my set of tires had worn down to the cables. In reaction, I revisited NTB to get the issue checked out. I figured that road hazard would not cover the issue because it was likely a suspension problem. Boy did I not know the FREIGHT TRAIN that was about to hit me!!! They said that my two front tires were done for and that I needed lower ball joints, tie rods, and control arms. They gave me an estimate for the work.: $1450.00 I was not about to pay this much. I've done suspension work before no problem. I did all the listed repairs for $300. NTB told me that if I got the work done they would do the alignment at no charge. I finished the work on a Monday, 3 days after I bought the tires. I took it in to get it aligned. They quoted me $385 dollars!!!! They said that my alignment COULD NOT BE DONE without the use of CAMBER KITS. I told them that at that time I could not pay that because I had just spent 429 dollars on 2 new tires that were only a year old. I asked if they could align the tires the best they could. They said ok. This obviously did not happen. 20 minutes later I get my keys. It's been a month and 2 days, my tires up front are already BALDING again on the inside!!! I decided to take action and went to Firestone ready to pay the 300 plus dollars because I now have it. Firestone aligned my truck for 90 bucks!!!! NO CAMBER KITS!!!! NOT A PEEP!!!! I even mentioned that it may need them and they said NOPE it doesn't!!!! I went back to NTB furious, but held it together. I explained myself to the service manager and he thought I was running some sort of scam. He insultingly said, I CAN BUY THOSE TIRES BACK FROM YOU FOR 20 DOLLARS PER TIRE!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I PAID 429 DOLLARS FOR THEM!!!! He then said WELL, WE CAN ROAD HAZARD THEM, BUT THEN YOU WONT GET ANYTHING, AS IF THAT WAS EVEN REMOTELY A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM! The bottom line is, they screwed up, and I had caught them red handed. The service manager wore a smirk the whole time and didn't even seem to believe himself when he talked. It was OUTRAGEOUS!!! I called and filed a formal complaint with NTB Corporate. Next step is the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I should hear back within a few days (crossing fingers) . BEWARE!!!!!! DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!! GET A SECOND OPINION!!!!!!!!!! DONT BUY FROM NTB!!!!!!!!
