Dishonest. Overpriced parts 10/1/2007

They charged $220 for the part that retails for $135 in NAPA parts. Charged one hour of labor for the process that takes 20 minutes at most including putting the car up on the lift and then down. Stay away from this shop. more

Overpriced 8/8/2007

I called earlier today to see if I could schedule an appointment to have my car's oil changed, and the woman on the phone told me that oil changes "start" at $40, and we all know what mechanics mean when they say "prices start at...". Based on that, I doubt any of their pricing will be very fair, especially when I can have new oil, lube, and filters, and have my tire pressure checked, too, all for $15 at my regular mechanic. more

Saved Me! 4/22/2007

I broke down last Friday at about 2:00pm on 520 in Redmond and had my car towed to AA Auto Service Center. I had a wedding to go to that weekend and was worried about transportation. They got to my car right away and found that my distributor failed. So I asked how long it would take until I got my car back and to my surprise they were able to get it done that same day! I was able to make the wedding and just really appreciate how prompt these guys were especially since they seemed like they were really busy. more

Coincidence 4/10/2007

I was a repeat customer of AA Auto Service center. My last visit was $1600. I recently had my oil changed at AA Auto Service center. When I picked my car up my check engine light was on and my car was shaking and there was no power. I had my friend pick me up. He was telling me, he had his oil changed there and the same thing happened to him. I was then called by the service center and they pretty much told me word for word what they had told my friend. They then charged me for 2 hours of diagnostic work. They then told me it was going to be about $700 for them to replace the fuel sensors. I just feel this is far too big of a coincidence. Be careful. more

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, FAIR PRICING 1/20/2007

Had my truck towed to their shop. (they are AAA approved) they shuttled me to work then called me later that morning with a price to replace a faulty fuel pump. I checked around with pricing and found them to be right within everybody I called. So I authorized the work. They offered me a rental car until my truck was done and paid for it too! When I came to pick up my truck, they washed it and vacuumed it! The dealer doesn't even do that. Will definitely be a return customer. very convenient to work too(microsoft) more

Long Term Happy Customer 1/17/2007

I've been taking my vehicles to AA Auto Service Center since 2001. I have always felt that I have been treated very fairly. I have always been given the option to perform the work or not and have never felt pressured, unlike other shops I have been to. I have referred these guys to many of my friends and they have never let me down. I have checked on there prices in the past and they seemed in line with other shops. It seems wierd to me that there are so many complaints on there prices since they have always giving me the price of the repair before I authorize the work. more

I had a good experience! 1/14/2007

I recently had my Honda Civic towed to this shop. I was recommended by AAA. They called me to let me know the timing belt had broke and gave me an estimate. I did not authorize the work until I checked these guys out. I checked out Judy's Book and found these scary reviews. So I called around and got 3 other quotes from shops in Redmond. AA Auto was the least expensive so I let them do the job. When I went in to pick up my car the price was less than what they quoted since they were able to find a part at a better price. I was super happy. I guess everyone has different experiences. more

Beware of High Prices 12/22/2006

As as reviewers have stated they always get you for a diagnostic fee.. which can be typical. The thing that really upset me, was to find that they charged me over 50% above the retail price for parts that the dealer already charges. This in my opinion is extortion. Beware! more

Not just shoddy work, but they LIED about it... 11/10/2006

I brought the car in to fix a horrible grinding noise in the engine. After a $80 'diagnosis', they told me I needed a new water pump. Halfway through the repair, they called on the phone, told me that the noise was fixed but that they had noticed I needed a new power steering pump. I declined that repair, and when I picked up the car (and paid $900 for a new water pump), it turns out the noise was not fixed, it was the power steering pump all along. They LIED when they said the original noise was fixed, hoping I'd authorized the other repair and that I'd never find out that there was never anything wrong with the water pump. more

They charged me $80.00 for diagnostic work just to tell me they need more money to figure out what was wrong with my vehicle!! The staff was very rude and condescending to top it off. Don't trust this shop! more

They over charge on parts, Too 8/28/2006

They charged me $543.75 for a part that retails from Napa for $334.00. a 60+% markup of a $300+ part is obscene. Don't shop at these guys. more

AA Gets a "F" in my book 8/13/2006

They charged my wife almost $500 to replace four brake pads on a nearly-new Ford Explorer, and then the left rear brake seized up and caught on fire. AA refused to warranty their own work, and we had to take our car to the Ford dealer in Kirkland to be repaired. Needless to say, we'll never go back. more
