Most auto places have a "insider" info that makes you think they are the "honest" ones. Like: It might only be a hose or wire and that is easy to replace and won't cost much. That disarms you and you believe they are more honest, it's a trick. There is a book that lists the labor prices for every repair on every vechical, the only variables are parts and diagnostic fees. Shop around and you will see these guys make their money off of diagnosic fees. I needed a specific part replaced, no diagnosis needed, they still insisted that they do diagnostics and charge for it. Even their base price was much higher than ProCar.
