Nice place to eat in Soulard 8/26/2005

This restaurant is known for its Cajun/Creole food, but they also have some American food choices on the menu. They have fireside dining inside and courtyard dining in the summer months. They do a Sunday brunch and most meals range from around ten to thiry bucks, so you aren't shelling out a ton of money here to eat. They also offer catering services so if you want to use them for your rehearsal dinner, reception, or special party, they are available. Definitely go here if you are craving some good Cajun food! more

    Norton's sets Soulard's blue-collar standard, with piped-in Jimmy Buffet tunes, traditional bar food and Cajun fare, young and indifferent staff and the occasional too-noisy patron. The cafe's atmosphere, especially the sprawling, multi-level patio garden, makes it a great place to enjoy a bucket of beers and a pound of peel-and-eat shrimp on a warm spring afternoon. The patio bars have TV screens stationed throughout, the better to get some sun while cheering on the Cards.
