In the last twenty plus years that I've owned pets I've tried several Veterinarians - most of them overpriced and impersonal. A friend recommended us to the Norton's a few years b...

I was not impressed with vet at all. Very unsanitary, does not answer their phone, and extremely unprofessional. I brought my cat to have him put down (very upset) and he showed n...

great vets. 2/25/2011

I just heard they got their license revoked. But you have to understand they are great vets, they dont keep records and its not corporate environment, but they know their stuff and don't overcharge. I grew up on a farm and dealt with vets all the time. They are the real deal. I hope they get their license back, it is going to cost me more so they can keep records, but I will still use their services. I just keep my own records. I trust them more than any vet I have been to. They could employ one person to keep the place more sterile, but other than that - I think they are fabulous!!!!! more

The Nortons are the best, most honest vets around 7/3/2010

Good: The vets there have been caring for rescue dogs for me for 5 years, which adds up to hundreds of dogs. They are honest, reasonably priced, excellent diagnosticians, and reasonable about outcomes. They won't start out by charging for a bunch of lab work and x-ray that may not be necessary in order to make a diagnosis. They always inform me thoroughly about treatment options and likely outcomes from each option. I get great phone consultations all the time, and they always respond immediately to emergency. Bad: Sometimes it can take awhile to get a response for routine care, but this is because they are probably one of the busiest vets in the state. The response time has improved greatly since they hired their office manager/assistant. She returns all calls by the end of the day if not sooner.. Improvements: The only thing that could improve their office is if there were more of them!. Other: Norton's Ark quickly becomes your personal favorite. Even on a busy day, the vets personally spend as much time with me as I need to get all of my questions answered. They never get impatient with me, and an appointment with them is like an appointment with no other vet you will ever experience. They know me, they know animals, and there is a good reason they are sooooo busy!. more

Pugmania rules 5/10/2010

Good: Both Keith and Melissa Norton helped me make the decision to put my beloved pug, Fern down.. They could not have been more supportive and sympathetic. Now I have retired champion pugs, Cherry and Pippin, and he has been taking wonderful care of them. Pippin was spayed and was up to being herself in a couple of days. Those who have had difficulties reaching Norton's Ark will be pleased to know that if they leave a message, calls will be promptly returned.. more

if you care for your family animal then i highly recommend keith and melissa to treat any problems you may have with your pet. i have been taking my beloved pug to them for 13 years and recently when we were out of state keith even treated him via phone. i never felt that my pug could be treated safely or with any knowledge that i could trust. they are great. more

Trustworthy Pug Experts 11/27/2006

I cannot say enough good things about Keith and Melissa Norton. They have provided excellent care for two of our pugs. They are extremely knowledgeable on pugs so they can diagnose and recognize problems that other vets have missed. They are honest and trustworthy and really provide quality care. I wouldn't trust any other vet with my pug. more

Dr. Norton specializes in the brachycephalic ("smash-faced") dogs 7/7/2006

We'd heard of Dr. Norton via word of mouth. After having been to a couple of other clinics in Seattle that seemed to offer mostly guesswork and, therefore, lotsa $$ toward treating our pug, we went to Dr. Norton. He not only diagnosed our dog accurately (yeast infections), he offered us a very cheap solution - Tinactin and Head and Shoulders shampoo. This was about $12 (plus average office visit cost) compared to the hundreds of dollars we'd already spent on vet visits and prescription meds. If you own any of the brachycephalic ("smash-faced") dogs - pug, Boston terrier, boxer, bulldog - he has a fondness for those breeds, particularly the pug. You also get the feeling he's being as forthright with you as possible. The only downside is for folks from Seattle - he's in the Redmond outlying areas and it's a loooong trip during rush hour. more
