Scenic trip from North Bend to Snoqualmie Falls 4/27/2007

Our train excursion was 75 minutes long. (The 25 minute trip was apparently just during the Day Out With Thomas event) We traveled to North Bend, then back to Snoqualmie Falls and then returned to Snoqualmie. We rode in the car with reclining seats on the way there and the car with the wood seats on the way back. 75 minutes was just the right about of time for our 3 year old. more

Train Trip too Short! 10/8/2005

The Northwest Railway Museum seems like a good choice for those with kids who love trains and train enthusiasts. However, the 25 minute round trip ride is much too short. So much of the time is spent slowly pulling out of the depot and stopping to look at Snoqualmie falls, you probably only spend 5 minutes going each direction. It is NOT a looped trip so the way back is the same way you came. We went for the Thomas the Train event and our son loves Thomas but was more impressed with the school bus we took from the shuttle lot. Save your money unless your little ones are REALLY into trains. Try to attend a special event like Thomas or the Santa train to make it a bit more interesting. more

oldest railroad station in washington 8/18/2005

The Northwest Railway Museum is a great place to take your kids to on sunday afternoon. It is located in old downtown snoqualmie and is the olders railroad station in washington. They have lots of old rail cars, specialty cars, etc. And various displays. You can purchase tickets for a 25 minute roundtrip rail ride trip to snoqualmie falls. In the summer they usually have a big Thomas the Train rides, which is great for any child that loves Thomas the Train. more
