I've now used Jerry at my residence 12/26/2011

I've now used Jerry at my residence (Furnace) and work (restaurant equipment). Jerry answered my phone call for my home inquiry, and called me back in less than 5 minutes from my VM for my work inquiry. Both time Jerry was at my location within 2 hours and fixed it both times with one visit. (Work will take 2 visits, but he was able to create a safe, short-term solution until he could get the part he needed to do the complete repair. Both times in and out in less than 1 hour and pricing/scheduling is the best I've found in town. (I've called around for my restaurant repair.) I would recommend Jerry and he's definitely worth 5+ starts for his scheduling, work, price and customer service. more

Best Emergency Service Ever 1/31/2011

First things first: my furnace stopped working on a winter night when the temperature outside was teetering on 20 degrees, if not less. On top of that, it was the night of the big game for the Oregon Ducks, so I assumed it would be difficult to find an after hours service tech anyway. However, Jerry came out immediately when I called and was attentive and determined to fix our issue. He went above and beyond and in return, we let him watch the last 5 minutes of the game at our house! Well worth it for heat, in my opinion. He was extremely nice, very polite, not imposing at all and went ahead and cleaned our furnace while he was there. I would absolutely use him again! more

TOP NOTCH NEW BUILD AND SERVICE COMPANY! 7/27/2010

I have FINALLY found a top notch HVAC company in the Northwest (not an easy task!)..... Northwest Heating & Cooling just blew away my expectations when they installed a complex new HVAC system in my business. The price was unmatched and I couldn't pick a part a bit of their work...it was done to perfection... I had them do some work on my system at my house two weeks later. 3 other contractors were unable to fix the control system problem on my heatpump system.....Jerry came out and diagnosed it in about 20 minutes, two days later he was back with parts and had it fixed in an hour....AMAZING. This fix saved me hundreds and hundreds in electricity over the past months and he even got warranty from the heat pump company on parts after the unit's warranty expired! Thanks!!! You have a customer for life! Pros: Everything... knowledge, service, price, schedule etc Cons: nothing more

Had Jerry come by today. He took no time to find what the problem was and fixed it fast and at a good price. Unlike so many other places Jerry has pride in his work and wants you to be happy with his service. This is a no brainer. Look at the reviews if you need service he is the guy to call. Pros: Nice guy who does it right Cons: may not be there in a hour but worth the wait more

I work (and live above) Citybikes Worker's Cooperative and Jerry fixed one of our ancient Holly wall heaters last week. The price was reasonable and he was fast and personable. Couldn't ask for much more. Definitely recommended. Pros: fast, reliable and a great value Cons: none so far more

Jerry rocks! 1/28/2010

My brother who lives in California is also HVAC certified but due to the 12hr commute to oregon, was not able to fix my heater. However, Jerry came over the same evening I called him, took the time to talk to my brother over the phone to explain the problem. My brother explained that his prices were very reasonable & that Jerry was the man to go with. Jerry took the time to explain the problem didn't expect money upfront, he gave us a quote & when the part was received we weren't surprised w/ a bigger invoice. He took time to show us how to maintain our system & was very professional & demostraded a caring heart with our circumstances. He shares charecteristics similar to my brother who is trustworthy & provides quality service-THANKS JERRY! Pros: Same day service. more

Fast, thorough service 1/23/2010

I called Jerry late on Friday night (after 9pm) and he was at my house at 9am on Saturday morning. He diagnosed the igniter problem quickly (I suspected the problem as this was the 3rd recurrence in 3 years) and he replaced it with a better igniter which I trust will last longer than the previous two. His charges were very reasonable, and he also took the time to test for CO2... much appreciated! Pros: Called late Friday, fixed Saturday morning Cons: none more

Excellent Service, Honest, Economical - Everything! 12/7/2009

I called Northwest Heating and cooling and left a message. Jerry, the owner, got back to me quickly. He was able to come to my house WITHIN A FEW HRS, at a time that was convenient for me. He quickly analyzed the problem and was very fair with his pricing - better than I could have gotten elsewhere given his experience. And he's bonded. Great service 11/11/2009

I called Jerry because my furnace was not working correctly. He came over on an evening hour and fixed the problem and gave me some great education on how to clean it on a regular basis. He was open and honest with me and being a single mom I dont have the money to be signing contracts or doing more things than is what really needed. I called NW Heating and Cooling for an ongoing furnace issue. I spoke with Jerry and he agreed to come the next day and take a look. He was on time and was great at explaining the issue. As a single woman and a first time home owner, I really appreciated that he was willing to take the time to explain what was wrong and what my options would be without being condescending. Highly Recommended 10/17/2008

So we turned on our heater for the first time this fall and no heat, it was about 8:30pm. No chance of getting a hold of a hearter repair person at that time of day but decided to call NW Heating & Cooling and leave a message for the following day. Jerry Heckman picked up the call ask some questions about our heater and said he would be there by the next day. Jerry was there as promised and we had heat. Jerry is very friendly and competent heater repair person. I highly recommend Jerry if you need heating help. more

The 'extra mile' 8/17/2008

Jerry Heckman of NW Heating and Cooling installed my AC system this month. He was professional, reliable and put in a great AC system at a very fair price. What really sets Jerry apart is his willingness to provide outstanding customer service. When a problem arose with the unit he installed (which was due to a defective compressor....it had nothing to do with Jerry's work), he was willing to install a new compressor at 8 at night on a 100 degree day! He did this free of charge (because it was a manufacturer's defect covered by the Ruud) and was more than willing to provide this service in a pleasant and professional manner. Jerry is a great guy and I highly recommend him if you are in the market for a heating or cooling system. He goes the 'extra mile'! Pros: Thumbs up more
