don't bother go to a real propane company these con artists will take legal action on a 103$ past due balance and harass you until you give in and pay them, better off buying propane from the mafia at least they will show you respect more

This used to be Main St Gas - which was a locally family owned business, but now bought out by a huge corporation. NEVER SUPPORT A CORPORATION. Since the corporation has taken over, Northern Energy is the most expensive propane fill in the area, they used to be the most reasonable, but now the most crooked/evil. The employees are nothing but functional illiterates, they lie about accounts, they want credit checks and then the employee steals the identity of the unassuming prospective buyer and steals their identity. The rates are high, requires a deposit, wants a SSN (it is illegal for them to ask for a SSN), charges for the tanks, fuel surcharges, fee-generating corporation - NEVER USE NORTHERN ENERGY, try JS West, they are still locally owned. Horrible corporation. more

Thieves and Liars 3/19/2012

We moved in a home in Cameron Park, these idiots were the propane suppliers. Credit not good enough, had to pay cash when getting fuel. No problem. Gas way out of line price line, then tried to charge extra $125.00 if they had to come out of rotation. Decided to purchase own tank, get filled by lower priced company. Called idiots to come get their tank, they did but didn't take their regulator. They sent me a bill for it, called them to come get it themselves. They wanted me to bring it to them. Now in collections, told collections to kick rocks. If I have to deliver to them, going to cost them $125.00 for trip out of my rotation. Up yours Northern more

HEARTLESS AND DEMANDING 4/11/2011

When hard times hit, I applied for the energy assistance program. I qualified then sent Northern Energy Propane a copy of the voucher that they would be paid. One week later another letter from them demanding money by a certain date or they would lock my tank and charge me $90.00 to unlock. I called them more

Bad experience! 3/23/2011

A bad experience with Northern Energy Propane. I called up office staff to see if I could split up a payment, she said yes that they would not deliver propane until paid. Ok, makes sense, two weeks later we were filled again, making my tab higher. Now the office was calling and threaten me to lock us out till we paid past due and to charge us $90.00 to unlock. REALLY!!!! So they did not hold to what we agreed on phone. We are now looking for another propane company!!!!! Beware of phone conversations and get it in writing. more
