I took my Miniature Schnauzer to Dr. Hechko for years. She had many generic problems due to bad breeding. Several times I called to explain a problem, he was always available to answer, even if the receptionist had to call him at home, or while he was away! When my dog had a relapse of IMHA the other Vets took care of her. She had to be put down! It was a very hard time for us. Dr. Hechko was on vacation at the time, and when he returned he called to apologize that he wasn't able to be here for us. Is that the sign of an unconcerned vet. I don't think so! He is the most compassionate Vet I know, and I've been to several others in past years. His staff is also wonderful!
I now have a four year old rescue Schnauzer who I wouldn't take anywhere else. Of course it costs money to care for your animals! If you want the best care, take them to this hospital. You won't be sorry!
