The doctors who cared for our cat were honest, informative, and did their best to care for our cat & help us to make informed decisions about what we had them do. I felt that they treated us & our cat with respect & caring & sensitive politeness. Yup, you're upset when you come here. It's a trauma center. But... in response to the reviews below... they are there to care for your pet and the other animals who are there, not for your emotional state. Sensitive, yes; there should be politeness!! But I prefer my doctor to be over-informative, so that I don't feel ripped off, rather than to coddle me & take advantage of my ignorance of animal-medicine. And, really, I'm sure it felt awful to hear them laughing; but you don't know what they were laughing about. Maybe it was about the euthanizations; maybe they'd already had to kill ten animals that morning, and were all about to fall over crying, but had to do something to pull it together to take care of your suffering pet? I'm just more

I don't know what to say -mixed experiences 4/20/2008

Hi, I have spent thousands at this emergency vet, and have had some really good experiences with vets here. They mobilized to get a qualified specialist surgeon in in the middle of the night and save one of my dogs. Many of the vets seem to be top notch. But the problem is that there are many vets. I brought my other dog in Friday night, The vet from one shift managed to get a specialist to come do an ultrasound on a Saturday (good service). But when I came over to visit yesterday afternoon, I got a real loser of a vet, and it had to be the time that I was given the news that my sweet dog has advanced liver cancer. This info was presented with zero compassion, in a monotone, and she began taling about doing advanced diagnostics and exploratory surgery on my elderly dog who is in great pain. She then starte reciting his red blood cell counts from various times during the day (as if I cared). I told her to stop, that I was there to visit my dog. She kept reading off numbers. I t more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! 10/26/2007

I took my dog to this so-called facility last night and left extremely upset and sick to my stomach. I found the vet and staff to be lacking in compassion and disrespectful to me and my animal. After my discussion with the vet regarding euthanasia, he said that someone would be in for me to sign paperwork. As I stood there, I could hear the staff in the back laughing. After waiting 5 minutes I told them to bring the paperwork. Then again I had to wait to pay. As I was waiting I could hear the vet say "O.K. We have two to go. Who wants who? You take Jonny (that was my dog)". The whole time I could hear them laughing. I told them that they needed to respect the clients who were sitting in the waiting room and not act so cavalier. These people showed no respect or compasion to me or my animal. They absolutely caused me UNNECESSARY emotional distress and the whole incident affected me physically as I started vomiting. I could have dealt with the situation if they acted like they cared. Ins more
